Maintenance needs to play there roll to clean leaves on the swimming pool. And they needs to arrange wood and clean after use of braai too.

I really did like the Tend room, was very clean, the location was easy to find. Great place to visit.

For the price, I expected breakfast included. Breakfast was R125/pp in addition to the price of the room. The Wi-Fi was mostly ok but cut out sometimes. There were lots of 3 prong sockets but no 2 prong (mostly a “me” problem).

It was pretty and peaceful (except for the wind rushing up the cannon all night). Staff was polite.

I found a previous guests receipt in the room. Making me wonder if someone checked the room before we checked in. But that, really, is the only complaint.

The view is stunning. A good tip, if you sleep over here make sure you wake up early to watch the sunrise

The cottage was so beautiful, wood was available next to braai stand, no need to buy wood, cutlery was available too and wifi to make life easier

It’s in a very quiet! You get to relax and have time out from the busy world. The swimming pool is gorgeous

The driveway up the property has a dip that damages the car when you drive up and because of it’s steepness needs attention The upstairs bathroom needs urgent maintenance . Toilet seat is all chopped , toilet roll holder broken , shower tap comes off in your hand , wiring is exposed . Upstairs needs curtains as you can see right in . The Trelli door on front door doesn’t work .

There were a group of really noisy young adults below us playing very loud music and shouting at the top of their voices, just behaving badly, despite being asked to be quiet, eventually they were made to keep quite at 11:30 and some were sent away. But at 8am the noise was back again. For me the draw of this lodge is peace and quiet. The management really needs to keep a lid on this kind of party raucous behavior or the lodge will fall to the level of Swadini, where loud music and crazy parties are allowed and it ruins it for nature, quiet loving people. The Tents at the top need a serious make over, poles have fallen out of the tents and generally needs a good handy man to to repairs and upkeep.

Beautiful View, Stunning gardens, Tent positioned so well and really lovely to be so high and have the bush right around you. You hear the lions at night as well as the Hyenas, lovely owl sounds and Night Jars.

Friendly and very helpful staff and owner. Tent was clean, comfortable with all needed extras and the view is exceptionally beautuful. Will definitely visit Amafu again. Pledge you are an awesome hostess. Always willing to walk the extra mile.
