Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaAtlantic Guest house Rivonia not Midrand One room was perfect although the mini fridge was not functional. The second room had a wardrobe that did not open on the side to hang long clothes The shower had 1 sliding door, so when you bath water messes the bathroom and the tiles are slippery. These needs to be fixed
I liked the fact that the Host was open with us with regards to them hosting an event and possibility of high noise levels. We were relocated to Atlantic Guest house Rivonia

South Africa1. There isn't enough parking space 2. The strict rules, only 1 visitor and no visitors beyond 17:30 3. The gate situation, always having to confirm that you have booked a room in the BnB even though they've already seen you and you have to wait outside the gate for a while so that the security can get confirmation to let you in which can pose a safety risk for the guest during the night.
The green scenery of the place was fantastic. The pool was great and always clean, and the cute little rabbits running around on the property were a breath of fresh air. The staff were amazing the rooms were clean and beautiful. It was a cute modern aesthetic

South AfricaWe lost a number of items because the guy who works at the reception was frequently at our units. When we called the following day no one was picking up our calls which was suspicious. I personally lost a bag that had cards and the following there was attempt to use the card online. I had to report cards as stolen because the guest house didn't pick up my call when I wanted to go look for my bag
