The kitchenette was really cramped. I'd suggest choosing a bigger unit if you plan to stay a few days and cook.

The welcome was warm and the views were just awesome. The location was great and the place was immaculately clean. A bonus was that cottages were serviced daily, which made up for the cramped kitchenette.

The amazing, tranquil surroundings got spoiled at times by the sound of an earth-moving vehicle (beeping while reversing) that was doing some work... but I understand work must be done and this could not be helped! Except for that, couldn't fault a thing. Did not meet the owners as they appear to keep a low profile (or maybe it was just that time of year).

Spectacular location with unbelievable views, peaceful and tranquil, super-friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and just .... everything!

We loved everything about our stay and will definitely return. Our cottage was fairytale cute, and the view from it was amazing. An added bonus were the little Shetland Ponies who came to visit us while we had our breakfast.

What a stunning place to end our trip! We stayed in a cozy private suite equipped with everything we needed: two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a comfy living room, and our own braai area. 🔥 The location is absolutely breathtaking – right in the middle of nature, surrounded by mountains, peace, and quiet. 🌿⛰️ Every morning and evening, delicious meals were delivered straight to our door. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully prepared and truly delicious! 🍽️💚 The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. We found a great trail route at the reception – perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings. 🚶‍♂️🗺️ A special bonus? The adorable farm animals (like Shetland ponies) who lovingly came to greet us! 🐴💛 And of course, the stunning swimming pool – ideal for cooling off and letting go of any stress. 💦☀️

There was no options or indication of what the meals were ahead of the meal being delivered.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had the evening meal included which was very tasty and filling.

I liked everything. I wish the pool can be heated (I knew beforehand that it’s not heated). When the weather is good I suppose it’s okay, but when it’s not then it would be nice to be able to swim. Well maybe for future upgrades this is something to consider…☺️. Also I didn’t expect our chalet to be clean during our stay (that’s usually the case where I am based) to my surprise it was cleaned everyday!!! Thank you for that.

Absolutely nothing- no complaints.

The location, cleanliness, view were tops. The staff were always cheerful and willing to assist. The breakfast delivered to our cottage was next level good, as was the braai packs for the evenings.... Both were way more than you expected in what was delivered. We highly recommend this accommodation.

We stayed in unit 9 right at the far end at the top. Uninterrupted views of the Berg. The food was delicious! The room was cozy and the fire place helped a lot as the 1st day it rained and was cold. The walk on the farm was nice too. It is 30 min from Royal Drakensberg Reserve, with loads of Hikes starting at Mahai campsite parking area.

Absolutely stunning! We had a fantastic stay at Berghouse and Cottages—everything was perfect. The views are breathtaking, the cottages are cozy and beautifully maintained, and the food was delicious. A truly peaceful escape with every detail thoughtfully done. We stayed in cottage number 10, which we loved, it was very private and comfortable. We were half board, the food was fresh and generous portion sizes. We recommend going half board as there aren't many shops or restaurants nearby. Also the road leading up is quite rough so a decent car is needed. Overall we really enjoyed being so close to nature, watching the wildlife and going for lots of hikes. Staff were very friendly and the overall atmosphere is calm and peaceful.

Beautiful little lodge. We stayed for 1 night in the superior cottage and it was perfect. Breathtaking views, well fitted, clean, little patio with a private pool. We are happy we spent a bit more on this unit. The beds were super comfortable. Highly recommend and its great value for money.
