Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumOne of the best places we visited during our three-week honeymoon, thanks to the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, the breathtaking views, and the sense of peace the place offers. What makes it even more special is knowing that your money supports a project with purpose, focusing on environmental sustainability, education and local community. One unforgettable moment was waking up at 4 a.m. to the sound of heavy footsteps, only to discover two giraffes right in front of our tent. Encounters like this are rare given the size of the property, but it shows the beauty of the surroundings. Even on your way to the lodge, you might spot some wildlife, almost like having your own private game drive. We also did a sunset drive with a guide, which was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend spending at least two or three nights here, with a full day dedicated just to relaxing in the lodge.

A great place to stop before heading for Kruger (or on the way back). The lodge is about 20 to 25 minutes off the the R36. Your car will be parked safely inside the highly secured compound and you will be transferred by a ranger to the camp. The tent is basic but sizeable and comfortable. The bathrooms are stylish and spacious. Tents have an electric fan against the summer heat. The main lodge has good internet and a lovely view on the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were both very delicious. Chef, very well done :) Staff was very friendly and attentive - 11 out of 10. The vultures are very worthwhile seeing. Thus, get up early and enjoy …

SwitzerlandThe Internet could be slightly improved, but given all the rest this is considered unimportant.
The whole experience is exceptional! Every staff member went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The staff is friendly and very professional, and the rooms/tents of a 5-star setting, are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, modern showers (inside and outside), meals outstanding, a permaculture garden providing organic food and used to teach soil improvement methods to the local community, and the vulture sighting experience of high quality, informative and staff very knowledgeable. We were a family (6 adults and 3 teenagers) and for us was one of the most likable spots in our RSA tour of 16 days, Hopefully, next time we can stay longer than 2 nights. Giraffes and other wild animals are free on the grounds and visited us during our stay, making it a truly remarkable experience.

SwitzerlandWe expected more about the vultures but were a bit disappointed that we did not learn and see more from the vultures. The name Vulture Conservany is a bit misleading. As we were the only guests, we felt a bit uncomfortable.

BelgiumThe drive from the gate (where your car is left behind) up to the lodge and back was very time consuming. If you are planning to do day trips, this is not really the right spot. Even so if you want to see wildlife as there are very few animals at the property.
Beautiful location, very new property. The tent was well equipped. Top notch friendly crew and outstanding food. Ideal spot for a relaxing day, to swim, to read a book.

MozambiqueTo have to leave and not stay longer.
This is the most beautiful place you will stay in Blyde River Canyon area. All the experience is top notch! From the extremely friendly staff that will accommodate you like royalty, to the most spectacular views of the mountains, the twice a day experiences and all the knowledge about such an intriguing species such as the Cape Vultures. One of our favourites was the visit to the Permaculture Camp where you can see with your own eyes where the food served at the lodge comes from as well as learn the basic concepts of the nature cycle that guides Permaculture principles and techniques, which can be applied everywhere on the planet. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious tents with the best quality linen and comforting views of the mountain and the Blyde bush. The top indulgence experience is to enjoy the outside shower under the stars and using the natural bio products from Africology, offered as complementary. There is no aircon in the rooms since it is an off grid property, nevertheless there is a ceiling fan that will keep you well ventilated. The food and kitchen staff were very professional at attending our dietary requirements, though there is a need to keep investing in vegan and plant based recipes to be in harmony with the Permaculture concept too. The fresh swimming pool was a delight in the middle of the hot reason and I cannot stress enough the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. This is a 6* experience in nature in one of the most beautiful places in Africa.

NetherlandsThis lodge is superb, such a big recommendation! ✨ Apart from the kindest and most considerate staff that make you feel so welcome and taken care of, the views are to die for from the property (which you have from everywhere, even your outdoor shower!). Also, the beds are really amazing. There is so much attention to detail here, from hand written notes and flowers upon your welcome, to fresh filtered water in every room, to amazing smelling biological shower products and lotions, to dietary considerations for each guest… Which takes us to the final highlight of this place: the FOOD! Amazing cuisine, even if you’re vegetarian…. We had a brilliant time here and can really recommend everyone. 10/10
