The breakfast was delicious and home made which is awesome, but we would suggest slightly bigger portions of the cooked part of the meal for people like my husband who ate of everything and was still a bit hungry. We would also suggest slightly better filter coffee for us coffee lovers who don't like the normal Jacobs tasting coffee (that's just us being coffee snobs, and this would not bother everyone😅

We loved the property, and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife while we had breakfast. We saw Zebras who came all the way to the breakfast table, saw multiple birds, and massive baboons! Roger is an excellent host who caters to all your personal needs. He is very friendly and helpful. He also gave some great restaurant suggestions. We've been to Champagne Valley a few times now, but he helped us discover a wonderful new restaurant that was perfect for viewing the sunset. Thank you, Roger, for the awesome weekend!

Comfortable place to base ourselves while exploring Monk's Cowl area. Great host - very welcoming and helpful. Lovely lounge area available at all times. Really good breakfast. Very happy with our stay here.

Roger our host was awesome. Where cottages are situated gives easy access to a number of experiences. Roger made sure we knew what was happening and where. Communal breakfast was great and had opportunity to interact with lovely couples.

Bathroom needs a working extractor fan or some sort of ventilation.

Roger and team were amazing from check in to check out. Finer, attention to detail was impeccable. Breakfast was communal from 8 to 9 daily, and we met such wonderful people. Beautiful estate good for walking and running.

Josh our host was very warm and kind. His hospitality will never be forgotten. Communication from the time the booking is confirmed until your arrival to the property was excellent. His recommendation on activities and places to explore were spot on. Had the best spinach and feta quiche for breakfast.

The walls being slightly thin in our unit meant hearing the neighbours quite easily from our bedroom whenever they were in. But it was not enough of an issue to detract from the enjoyment of our stay

The location was absolutely stunning. A peaceful getaway for those looking to unwind from a busy lifestyle. Our host Rodger went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as stress free and relaxing as possible.

The host Roger is an absolute legend. He is very informed and can list multiple things for you to do in the area. Breakfasts are very good and the coffee is amazing. If you're going as a group of friends or family friends, then this is awesome as you can all have breakfast together. Otherwise, you get to meet new people during breakfast. It's very cosy and clean and smells fresh inside and outside. It's really a welcoming experience and peaceful!

Our room did not have an AC but a fan was available for use. The shower was also very difficult to balance the temperature with the tap machanism that’s there. Other than that we generally enjoyed our stay and the hosts’ hospitality made the experience all worth it.

Absolute delight being hosted by Roger. He’s such a kind and well informed host. Very hands on and makes you feel right at home. The property was also lovely and very neat with all the basic essentials available. The breakfast was also nice my sister thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom :)

We enjoyed everything about Cathkin B&B.
