We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Apartment was very clean and stylishly designed. Great comfy living room and kitchen area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach is on your doorstep, just across the road.

South AfricaThe unit no 53 was not cleaned property, the bathroom was not cleaned at all, we had other peoples toothbrushes and gels there. The is not room cleaning service so the best you can do is provide a clean unit when I check in. We had to look around for tissues and other things. Dirty extra blankets and pillows in the cupboards. Side lamps don't work, almost all plugs/twin plugs don't work. The light in the sitting area is very dark. Just take time to make your unit feel like a getaway, these are basic things that must be in place.
The location of the property, sea views, ease of access to the beach. That was beautiful.

South AfricaWhen my family & I arrived on Friday, we found the place dirty, rundown, had a stale odour, leaking toilet which leaked water onto the floor & into the passage, the bathroom door was broken & couldn’t lock, the bedding was old & dirty, there dust everywhere including the sofas, there were no handles on the doors, the outside chairs were old & untidy. We asked the caretaker for an alternate unit which was just as bad. To our dismay & disappointment, There was no other alternative that suited out expectations of cleanliness & tidiness that should be the basis of a holiday home for 3 nights. We had to return back home & ended up not staying at all. We returned back to Durban. The manager Nompilo was unhelpful & wouldn’t give us the details of the owner to request for a refund. I have pictures of the above complaints and more. It seems that booking.com has no standards anymore & cannot be trusted. I would like a refund as we did not reside in this atrocious ‘ holiday flat’.

South AfricaAs soon as we arrived.Deborah handed the keys to us.Showed us around the unit. 1.The gas was empty so we couldnt braai on the balcony.We had to walk with everything and use the communal braai 2.utensils were dirty..not washed 3.the pictures on the website and what u see is two different things...theres no bath...its a narrow shower.The drain is clogged 4.The number provided on here just goes into voicemail. 5.The plug points in this unit doesnt work.I couldnt use my hair dryer.Theres a fan plugged into the plug point but doesnt work. 6.Appliances are dirty..theres old splashes of food stuck above the stove. 7.It was raining and water stands right in front of the balcony..so if u wanted to step out for awhile u are going to step in a big puddle. 8.This unit needs alot of TLC.I could go on and on.The owners should clean and fix everything.It was a waste of my money

South AfricaFirstly, the check in process was very poor. The unit did not look like the pictures on the internet. The bathroom had hair in the shower, the only braai facility in the unit was a gas braai with no gas so we were unable to braai. The bedding wasn’t clean, the cupboard in the main bedroom could not be used as it looked like sand had accumulated in it and it smelled musty. There was also no DSTV remote and the channels had to be changed manually.
