Our group of 12 cannot think of one single thing we didn’t like about this camp.

The staff at Chisomo Safari Camp was exceptional. They were extremely accommodating to our group. Some examples - There was a safari ride set up for us on the afternoon we arrived. We arrived at 3:00 and we were off looking for the “big 5” at 3:30PM. - The Manager Thabo offered to have lunch available for us when we arrived from our drive up from Johannesburg - On our last day, we had an early departure scheduled and Thabo accommodated us by having a full hot breakfast available much to our surprise. - We had several in our group that had dietary restrictions. The kitchen staff made sure that breads and other items were specially prepared so they could enjoy their meals as well. - Our guide and tracker(Matthew and Forget) did an exceptional job. They answered all of our many questions about the birds and wildlife. They pointed out things that we would never have spotted on our own as we drove down the roads and in the bush. By the end of our stay, they were as much a part of our group as those of us that were guests. - The facilities are extremely well-maintained and enjoyable to stay at. - Donald, who would walk us back with his torch every night in the dark, made sure that he learned exactly which units we were each staying in after the first night. He went out of his way to talk to us about the animals on the property and his concern for our safety; as well as our return for a visit in the future.

It was my first time in a safari tent and I love it. It was an amazing experience. Friendly staff. The food was delicious. The stay made an effort to make gluten-free food for me. Thank you to all the admin and cooking staff The game drives were mazing! We were able to see the big five. Thank you to our Ranger and Tracker, Evans and Sondy. The location is perfect.

Ranger did not seem very enthusiastic like previous times we visited Karongwe.

Can be chilly at night even with the heater. And chilly mornings so warm clothes is recommended. Wish we had a boma dinner and saw lions...but that's nature! We loved it.

Glamping tent units were so nice and spacious. Such a cool experience. Guided safaris were great as well and saw so many animals UP CLOSE. Everything was on schedule. Food was fantastic with a huge variety. We never went hungry. Staff were wonderful and wish we had more time to chat with them and other guests.

From our arrival to departure we received the best hospitality. The staff are very friendly and madr sure their guest has everything they need. The room is very spacious. We enjoyed the food, the staff and the whole setting.

I really enjoyed staying there, Steven and Gilda were amazing very friendly, knowledgeable, problem solver and caring. Also the other staff like Raimondo and Matthew also were great. It was an excellent experience. The way they were caring us, locating the lunch and dinner table. the occasions that we could have group Dinner and Lunches... was really good.

There were a lot of people walking around in different colourful shirts to the regular staff, and we could only assume they were some form of management. What was really disappointing was that they all seemed to important to even introduce themselves to guests, if they even spoke to you at all.

Beautiful location, knowledgeable guides and a fantastic kitchen and waiting staff.

Confusion over the all inclusive drinks package. Initially the resort had no record of the option and secondly, only beer and house wine (not local wine...as initially stated) was included

Game drives with Evans and Sondi was excellent. They really do their best to get us close to the big 5. The leopard and cheetah encounter was top class. Food was great.

Rooms need a revamp. Not what I expected with open plan as well. Too much traffic on the reserve for its size. I think 2 nights would have been adequate, not 3.

I think for the money spent per couple per night you would expect rooms to be more upmarket (no aircon in the room) and the place in general to be more upmarket. For example, the game drive was phenomenal with amazing rangers going out of their way to give you an experience. However the lodge stocked one drink per person for sunset. They asked us what would we like to have prior the drive and we got exactly the one drink we chose as only one unit per choice was stocked. This is what I call "penny wise pound foolish": I have been to countless game drives and for that price you should get a variety of drinks and food in unlimited quantity (there is only so much you can eat and drink in 20 minutes anyway as eating and drinking is not allowed during the game drive but only during break).

The service and the staff are absolutely phenomenal. Friendly, customer orientated, going out of their way to make your stay memorable. And they did. The location of the place and the fact that you have animals outside your room door is a special feature that do not get in many places. The main restaurant with the whole reception area are beautiful.
