There wasn't anything we didn't like!

Everything was perfect. Fish was such a great host and he was super helpful. The views were phenomenal and we really wish we could have stayed longer.

Our stay at the lodge was truly special. The room was beautiful, private, and came with a jacuzzi — a perfect spot to relax. Excellent value for money, especially with the brilliant breakfast included. The hospitality really stood out. The owner, Marc, and his wife personally introduced themselves and took time to chat with us, offering great recommendations for our next destination. It was such a thoughtful touch. A special mention to the staff — Nikita, Fish, and John — who were genuinely caring, humble, and clearly love what they do. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel incredibly well looked after. A memorable stay we’d highly recommend!

The water temperature in the shower does vary, which can be a bit uncomfortable during the winter months.

Elephant Hide offers beautiful and spotlessly clean accommodations with a stunning bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room had air conditioning so it was nice and warm.

It is beautiful, surrounded by nature. The cherry on top was the spa bath tub with the bath salts.

Not really anything to not like. A personal preference is that the bathroom was a little dull in terms of colour scheme, but that probably fits the aesthetic of that particular suite. When we do return we would choose a different suite.

The staff were amazing and we're very helpful when needed. The property views were beautiful, and it felt like an intimate setting as opposed to a hotel. We loved the location.

What an amazing and beautiful place to step into. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help with anything you need assistance with. The views from the deck with the sunset are so peaceful and you can feel yourself relax. If you want privacy then you can sit on your personal patio and enjoy the sunset from the comfort of your patio. The rooms are spacious and modern and clean and the bed is very comfy with electric blankets for the cold nights. The food was good value for money!! Def recommend going here, easy to find and not far off the main road.

Fynbos suite was lovely, clean, spacious and very private but the view was from this suite was obstructed a bit, nothing really bad but some of the other suites views of the lagoon were better

Nice setting out of town, private and quiet, John was lovely and helpful and the breakfast was lovely especially with the stunning view and roaring fire.

Breakfast was delicious, staff were all so smiley and friendly. Jonathan was a lovely host. The bedrooms are beautiful and very luxurious. Loved our stay and will be coming back + recommending it to everyone coming through Knysna.
