We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaThe shower curtain in bath is a negative. It is not efficient because curtain are blowing against your body which prevent a nice shower. Carpets in room needs a good clean or upgrade.

South AfricaI found the room I was assigned to be overpriced. It was situated at the rear of the hotel and was adjacent to a very noisy part. The carpets was filthy and poorly maintained. The shower was also not functioning properly. Fortunately, it was only a one-night stay.
I appreciated the hotel's convenient proximity to my workplace and their prompt accommodation despite the short notice. Even when I arrived late in the evening, they graciously provided me with supper upon request.

Mauritius- Request for a late check-out, I totally understand if the hotel is full, it is subject to availability but if the hotel not busy at at all or few arrivals or no arrival in the same room, would have appreciated a Free Late check out as a gesture until like 2pm.
- Stayed stay Fountains Hotel on a few occasions. - The nice upgrade from a One Bedroom Apartment to a Two Bedroom Apartment on the 11th Foor with a nice biew - Breakfast was good with different option. - The location in CBD and walking distance to Long Street and other places.

United KingdomI found the staff somewhat rude on arrival. We were a tired family with small kids and some friendliness would have gone a long way. We really struggled to find the car park, some instructions in the welcome email that was sent out before we arrived would have helped. Also the car park charges were more expensive than what was stated in the welcome email! Overall I was really looking forward to the hotel and just found myself disappointed. Not sure I'd go out my way to stay here again.

South AfricaAlthough there were water-saving measures in place, it was disappointing to see that when I returned to my room at the end of the day, all the lights had been left on by the housekeeping staff. Perhaps they need training. If it's 'procedure' for them to leave the lights on, then perhaps this needs to be re-looked by management. It was also disappointing that there was only creamers and no milk (not nice with tea!).
It was good to see measures in place to conserve water.

South AfricaThe back entrance, which is supposedly the entrance where the reception is situated, it is dodge on that side but the front of the hotel is fine I guess. The breakfast options for the buffet can be elevated a little bit more. For instance, they had a potato and onion mix which was served, this didn't make sense for me. I'll give their breakfast offering a 7/10.

South AfricaShower room not user friendly. Need to install guard rails as well as holder for soap. Beds need to be replaced and towels still had stains on. The air-con need to be upgraded and requires remote handsets. The hotel need a demarcated location inside the hotel close to bar area to allow those guests who do smoke peace and safety
