Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We’d like to clarify a few details for future transparency and for the sake of others that may wish to book with us: The booking was initially for one suite for two adults. A suite is a guest room with king bed, some seating area, kitchenette (with microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery) or full kitchen and an ensuite private bathroom. You then increased to 4 adults, which could have been 2 adult children but you did not specify, neither did you specify the requirement for 2 separate bedrooms. (Booking.com has a wonderful chat box, through which you can liase with the venue, make all your requests and clarify any uncertainties before your arrival.) I'm also not sure what "open plan" means as we have normal guest rooms like all other guest rooms in B&B's and hotels. BUT, in an effort to make you more comfortable, we offered an additional guest suite at no extra cost, but unfortunately, this was not accepted by yourselves. At no point during the booking process was a full kitchen requested, but when we realised that this is what you required rather than a kitchenette, we offered an alternative room with a fully equipped, very large kitchen, to better suit your needs, which you declined. We strive to accommodate all guests and ensure they have a positive experience, but we regret that our efforts were not sufficient in this case. Having stated that you stayed at Westpoint apartments, I can only assume that what you had in your mind was a 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed apartment or cottage with full kitchen, lounge, dining room etc. We are definitely not that. We are a small owner managed country Guest Lodge with 11 entirely different kinds of suites that you could have chosen from. We offered you 3 different options that were available at the time and you declined them all. I always suggest to clients, friends and family to take some time to go the venues own website and not a booking site, to make sure they are booking what they really need, before committing themselves on a booking site that shows only limited information. Rating us to poorly when you never experienced our rooms for more than 5 minutes is also a little unfair I feel, especially since I do believe that what you had in mind, was sadly not what we have to offer. If there is anything more we could have done, we’re open to hearing your suggestions.
