Magnificent location. Peaceful and quiet. Lots to do if you choose otherwise relax in swiss wooden cabin with a fireplace.

We are sugar free and that needs some work.

The location is amazing with the best views !! The food was great ! Friendly staff and everything was clean ! Will surely recommend and visit again.

The property is in a remote part if the Northern Drakensberg. A place of exceptional beauty. It is intimate and feels like a well run family business. Service and meals and staff were excellent. Definitely a bucket list addition No internet -Awesome

Directions to the Lodge should perhaps be to Alpine Heath as Google maps was very confused 🤔

Secluded spot in a very beautiful part of the mountains. Fabulous views and walks on the doorstep. Very comfortable facilities and good home cooked food. Super friendly staff. Trout fishing in crystal clear dam.

The lodge is set in a beautiful location. I really enjoyed the fireplace in the dinning area and in the cabin. The food was tasty and well presented.

It would be helpful to know that you should google The Health Resort to find the location. Our GPS took us to the wrong location. Also more clarification about calling the lodge to get picked up and taken up the mountain.

We had to leave early as we were hiking up Tugela falls the next morning and Jeremiah and team had our breakfast packed for us to take on the go, which we thought was extremely sweet and accommodating of them to do. The rooms were very comfy and the place overall is absolutely stunning. We also really enjoyed our open bacon sandwiches which we had for lunch.

The drive up to Greenfire from Alpine Heath is about 30-40 mins on a gravel road that passes 2 small streams that crosses over the road, so having a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle is a must.

Comfortable room in a great location, surrounded by mountains. Lovely hikes in the area and a relatively short trip to Mont-aux-Sources and the Tugela valley. Very good food.

For those wondering need wifi, there is none.

The setting of Greenfire Lodge is just magnificent! The dining area - in a big log cabin - overlooking the Drakensberg Amphitheatre in the distance is just the nicest place to have the three wonderful meals served daily! The numerous walks and variety thereof were just fantastic.

This was exceptional. Jeremiah and the staff is exceptional. The views are breathtaking and out of this world. We unfortunately only stayed 1 night that should never happen as there is so much to do. The food is delicious and tasty and freshly made. I've never tasted bread so delicious. The beds are big and comfortable and the shower is hot and refreshing. Early morning rusks with coffee makes is even feel more homey. Luckily we read about the road that leads up so we arranged for them to collect us because it is a daring thought to drive up there. We will most certainly come back for a longer stay.

Not staying longer

Such an exceptional location high up (highest I believe) in the Drakensberg. The views are truly spectacular. The food was incredible and very generous. Only a limited number of units, so you feel very secluded.

The sleeping accommodation was more than adequate for a very comfortable stay, cosy & comfortable rather than luxurious. The ability to have hot water for drinks on demand at the room rather than a flask would be ideal, but that’s really being picky. There is always the facility to have hot drinks in the communal area.
