Excellent family-friendly accommodation. The house was warm, cozy, and comfortable. We traveled with two kids, and the place had everything for kids and adults. Best for a family vacation or even a break from the noisy and fast city life. Also, the place is close to many outdoor activities to entertain the family.

It would be nice to have somewhere comfortable to sit on the grass to catch some sun. Very much a personal preference as I love to sit in the sun especially in winter.

The views were beautiful. Loved being so close to the small dam. We used the fireplaces throughout our stay. It was very cold. Lovely electric blankets on the beds. Loved being able to have our fur babies with us.

The photo’s don’t prepare you for the breathtaking views, peace and tranquility! Well equipped and perfect for a break away with family. Even spotted a Crowned Eagle pair hunting monkeys… Will definitely be back!

The location was beautiful with a large verandah facing a dam with the most amazing birdlife. We got to view the swallows coming to roost in the reeds of the dam on our last evening which was very special. It was the perfect spot for relaxing, reading & board games for some family time together. Rooms were very comfortable & spacious. Twin room at the back (not facing dam) could have had a standing fan but both other rooms were equipped with standing fans & doors that opened onto the verandah. Host was kind to leave dishwashing soap as we did not take our own.

Maybe lights on the way in would help especially at night and a sign to notify drivers of the mini speed humos on your way in especially those driving low cars

The place is very spacious, I love the view and how quiet the location is . Perfect for a get away from all the noise of this world. I’d really recommend this this place and the damn just adds to the tranquility. Highly recommend.

The attention to detail was awesome. A beautiful home with great little touches. Peaceful and relaxing. It was the first time we just wanted to sit and relax and enjoy the place rather than meandering in the area. It really is a well thought out, well equipped place

The location by the lake is so peaceful. The big veranda with comfy couches meant that we could sit outside until late, even when it was raining. We enjoyed watching the birds on the lake. Hum Lilly is also conveniently located close to many Midlands Meander restaurants. Next time we'll bring the dog with!

There was nothing I didn’t like.

The location was great, the view from the veranda delightful, it was super well equipped, very tastefully furnished with really lovely touches. Rooms were big, beds, linen and pillows awesome, adequate provision for loadshedding, I couldn’t fault it, honestly.

There are spiders. This is expected of course when you live this close to nature.

Beautiful house. Very open and spacious. No clutter and beautifully furnished. There is a cute lttle fishing boat that my husband and son enjoyed. There are too many things to mention that we loved about Hum Lilly. You can only appreciate the true beauty, peacefulness and comfort when you experience it for yourself.

The weed in the dam has taken over to quite an extend so would be very difficult to fish.

The sulphur smell was exceptionally bad, children couldn’t shower and the smell filled the entire room - made things unpleasant unfortunately, the feel of the water on one’s skin is very strange - the borehole could have the appropriate filters

The position is perfect, the scenery is beautiful and the facilities are excellent for a relaxed and rejuvenating stay (just the water was a dampener)

When there is load shedding the battery that is provided only lasted 20 mins then you have no power and no WATER as the pump doesn’t work for however long the load shedding is which when we were there it was 4 and half hour sessions. So became a pain as you can’t do anything like shower, ablutions etc. Had to fetch water down by the pump in buckets.

It is very peaceful and very homely. The bed in the main en-suite bedroom is very comfortable.
