If u looking for a relaxed out of town but not to far short left, this is a beautiful little getaway... Lettie was extremely friendly and helpful and the place was nice and quiet... it's the kind of place that'll make you re-evaluated city living... Enjoyed and definitely will go back

The street from the Main road to the property needs some serious rehabilitation. It's currently a hazard for non-Off road vehicles.

Nothing really. Maybe the road to the guest house is a bit rough for a low suspension car. If the humps can just be lowered especially inside the gate if they have no control over the outside.

The place is clean and a home away from home. They have everything you need. Calm and peaceful environment. I'm lost of words to describe Lettie (kind, thoughtful etc). Wow 👌 👏. Self catering but she still bakes, provides goodies for you. We booked room 1 and 3 because room 2 was already taken when we booked. She accommodated us at room 1 and 2 which were in the same house. That's was thoughtful and accommodative. We appreciate that. May God bless you 🙏 ❤️

The location is situated close to town and was accessible. We got lost bit the host was so kind and assisted us through our journey.

Beautiful property situated on the banks of a river. The two bedroom house with two bathrooms is an absolute gem. The fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities you need & there is an outside barbecue as well. The DSTV has a full bouquet. There is a lovely free standing bath in the one bathroom as well as a fitted bath & shower in the second bathroom. Lettie is a wonderful host & we had freshly baked rusks as well as scones, cheese & jam, upon arrival, as well as bunches of lovely flowers in the rooms. The beds are comfortable & we had electric blankets as well as heaters & some chocolates on our pillows. There is lovely walking trails on the farm. We cannot wait to visit again.

Nothing! everything was just perfect.

This property was absolute WOW. Out in the nature, spacious and very well equiped. Enjoying a cup a coffee early morning or a glass of wine / Amarula late afternoon next to the waters was the best medicine for an extremely tired soul. The homemade rusks were delicious 😍

Not the hosts' fault but beware using the GPS location provided by booking.com - Google maps took us down the wrong dirt road (seems to think there is a connecting access road but there isn't). Rather get directions from the host upfront.

Beautiful location with great view of the water and grassy lawn. So peaceful at night with barely any noise despite the campsite across the dam. Kitchenette has all the equipment you need and enjoyed the complimentary muffins. Feels like you are in a rural farm location but felt secure and is not far from Heidelberg town. Host was extremely helpful and accommodating.

The hospitality was warm & it felt like home away from home. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable at all times & that we had electricity during loadshedding. We were also spoilt with homemade rusks & muffins. Will definitely visit again.

There were two space heaters (much appreciated) but a third one for the shared area would have been nice - it was quite cold. The local Hadeda Ibises, which are very loud, woke my sister up at dawn.

The location was beautiful, next to a camping area. The rooms were comfortable, including a nice living room with comfy chairs and couches, dining area, and full kitchen. The owner provided muffins as well as rusks for breakfast.

We liked everything about the place and can definitely recommend it.

Ibis Nest is a very peaceful and tranquil place. We stayed in the standard twin room and it's very quiet and private if no one else is booked in the double room which shares the kitchen and the living room. Lettie is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. She made our stay as pleasant as possible and offered more than most guest houses in regard to food (muffins, rusks) and coffee etc. (although it is self-catering).

Lettie, your sign on the main gate is faded. the gps directions landed us 2 plots away on a cattle farm.
