Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe wine selection could be better. Most wines on the wine list are out of stock.
The most impressive thing about the lodge is the staff. They are amazing and made my stay as enjoyable as possible. All expectations were met with regards to game drives, food, rooms, etc. Thank you!!!

United StatesThe only criticism I have is the communal pool: while the location, temperature and infinity edge overlooking the animal watering hole is appealing, the water isn't as clear as the personal plunge pools at our rooms and the tile and wood around the pool's edge is in need of urgent repair.
The private cabins with spacious and comfortable beds were excellent. The rooms also had private shaded patios and plunge pools - perfect for the hot midday breaks. The lodge overlooks a riverbed with a clearing and a watering hole that draws all sorts of wilife, so you can see elephants from your breakfast table! The lodge staff were caring, kind, and attentive. Our safari guide, Marc, was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had about animals, birds, and flowers!

SingaporeEverything was perfect about our stay at Imbali. The room was extremely spacious and well maintained despite Imbali already being around for some time. Amenities were good too, and the location was excellent - right in front of the riverbed and opposite a watering hole means that animal sightings and sounds were commonplace, and makes for a great time relaxing and animal spotting from from the porch or dipping pool in the suite. Hospitality and service was amazing too, with sumptuous buffet spreads and egg service for breakfast, alongside 3 course meals for dinner (and occasional barbecue). Games drives were the absolute best and simply magical! There is just something breathtaking about seeing wild animals in their natural habitat. Big shoutout to our ranger Jayden, who was extremely knowledgeable about all things mammals, birds and even plants. He made the games drives so much more interesting and engaging, always throwing in tips about tacking and about nature!

New ZealandI felt the rooms were a little dated and rooms had musty smell. I didn’t like the roof on the game vehicle. It blocked off so much visibility.
I liked that every meal was pre ordered which made wait time coming back from game drives quicker. Victor, our game driver was outstanding. Such a friendly knowledgeable guy who made us feel special.

United KingdomYou can’t really sit by the main pool area, it’s not made for socialising - but there are small dipping pools in each of the rooms as a pretty happy alternative.
Staff were amazing and attentive, rooms were massive and very clean. But the most amazing feature, was the watering hole opposite the main dining area - so you are greeted by elephants every meal! So cool.

Russiavery comfortable safari vehicles, experienced guides, large rooms with the terrace, delicious food. During 3 days we`ve seen almost all kinds of large animals except rhino and leopard. It is also better to go to Kruger when it is a dry season, there will be better visibility.

SeychellesI think it would be helpful to give visitors a very simple and cheap map of that area of the Kruger upon their departure as they could run the risk of getting a bit lost- not good in the Kruger.
The lodge is set along the banks of a river(it was dry during our stay), so is most beautiful. The accomodation is in little thatched cottages , extremely comfortable and spacious. The food was delicious, service excellent. We had some great animal viewings with Charl , our guide. Altogether, a great stay.

AustraliaLast time we always received cold wash cloth, on arrival and on return from a game drive. This time we only got a flannel once in the 2 days, 4 drives! That would be a really nice touch!
Food was excellent. Services was exceptional. Location is very good. The road getting to Imbali was VERY corrugated and very tough going at times and we did have a 4x4. Some of the lodge is looking a little tired. However we had a great stay, we have been before and we will return.
