If you're looking for AMAZING hospitality, great location and attentive but not overbearing hosts, then look no further than Inkungu. I usually don't repeat establishments but Inkungu is one I would gladly stay at again.

Absolutely beautiful setting, lovely hosts, excellent food. Each room individually decorated in colonial style. Lounges with fireplace and compares and my personal favorite hot showers with great water pressure.

Kerry and Anton are wonderfully warm and entertaining hosts. After staying at numerous spots in the Drakensberg, I can confidently say that this is now my go to place. Spacious and comfortable lodging with good quality toiletries(a measure of a high standard) attentive and discreet housekeeping, a breathtaking view and ideally positioned near all my favorite spots in the Berg. And the food! From breakfast to dinner, it was all delicious.

On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a suite (free), which was well equipped for our needs. Well located property with really pretty, well maintained garden areas. There is an infinity pool for residents’ use. The lodge itself is very impressive with some great features, including a thatched roof. As part of our deal, breakfast was included, but we also to chose to dine there each evening of our stay. There was a good choice of cold and hot food items for breakfast. Evening meals were good (hence we ate there each night !) and there were choices available. Restaurant Manageress, Princess, was welcoming. We saw a bit of the owners, Kerry, Ant & Ryan who were very friendly, offering up suggestions for things to do during our stay. Overall a great stay in the Drakensberg.

The bathroom in the room we had could do with some updating - the open concept shower left water all over the floor.

Relaxed, friendly , amazing hosts , location close to Winterton , shops, and 1 hours drive to Nottingham Road . Also close to Falcon Ridge for the Birds of Prey show.

Nothing to report to be honest

Amazing part of the world; the drive there wasn't a problem. The team were in constant communication from midday to check when we will be arriving and if we would be having dinner at the lodge. We arrived in the evening and Check in was a breeze. We really enjoyed the dinner; I highly recommend eating there. The same with breakfast; we had an amazing buffet breakfast; compliments to the chefs. The lodge is well kept with a nice balcony overlooking the mountains.

Honestly can’t think of anything major that I didn’t like, I suppose some people would prefer it if they had wifi for guests, but I also think they might be a conscious choice to keep guests more in the moment, instead of on their phones & laptops

I missed a bottle of fresh water in the bedroom and a white cotton gown, I do believe that its not normally supplied but unfortunately I missed out,

Breakfast was 5 star and setting was excellent. The decor is stylish with several lounges to relax in. The beautiful royal sets of fine tea cups in rooms was something never seen before. The infinity pool and beautifully kept gardens added to the overall experience of tranquility.

You could not wish for a better location .. looking onto Champagne Castle .. the Drakensberg Boys Choir school is 5 klm away .. they normally have a concert on a Wednesday Afternoon... 3.30 pm .. we also went to the Falcon Ridge bird of Prey Rehabilitation centre .. well worth avisit 😊🦅

If you're looking for something real special, don't look any further! A perfect place for a special experience, quiet setting with fabulous views in a wonderful large park with an infinity pool and the cathedral peaks behind. Telax and enjoy!
