Lovely stay…unfortunately when we went for a drink and snacks by the pool the lady served the white guests who came before us …it’s was a weird experience but we did not want to pay a lot of attention to it

Due to not eating beef and pork, I was limited to having meals off the breakfast and dinner buffets.

The staff were absolutely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They really made our stay enjoyable. My husband and I were so chuffed by the singing of happy birthday with a slice of cake followed by our room being decorated with candles and rose petals. We both were awestruck when we entered our room after dinner. The staff really did go out of their way and made my husband feel so special! From the guard at the entry gate to housekeeping to reception and restaurant staff, everyone gets a 5 star for exceptional service.

The fact that beverages where not included for Dinner. You have to pay separately for beverages which should of been included when booking breakfast and Dinner option. Between Booking.com and Tiger lodge there is no clarification regarding Beverages which are excluded. @ Booking.com Please make sure when the accommodation is advertised to highlight the fact that beverages are not included with dinner. We had 4 sets of waiters who kept asking us what we would like to drink but not one of them told us that we will have to pay separately for the drinks. The water slide had been off for the entire weekend or duration of our stay and was switched on when we were checking out. This was disappointing. No staff could give us the reasons. Bar fridge in the room can do with a upgrade of 1size bigger as its very small and does not come with ice. However ice was delivered to our room when we requested from reception. A microwave could also be added to the rooms.

Check inn was good. Nice welcome with fresh towels and refreshing drink. Room and facilities where good. Staff very friendly and willing to assist. Breakfast was good. Dinner was also good but beverage could improve. Views from the room and resort where wonderful. Beautiful viewing deck from pool area. The rooms and resort where very clean and tidy with fresh smells. Nice shuttle service provided when booking fishing or boat cruise.

Games room lacking in maintenance with the equipment. The equipment even though new, incorrectly assembled. Two darts instead of 3, please get two sets of 6, it’s not expensive and please also add a score board. Main water slide not working that needed a simple repair that took two days to accomplish, unacceptable. This is your main attraction. Staff lacking in follow through and detail. However very friendly and polite. Children’s programs run by individuals that did not know what they were doing and kids picked up on that very quickly. Employ someone with children skills, however the concept of having programs like these are great. Food was overpriced for what you got. Up the standard and then charge those prices. Buffet was okay but not for the price. Outside furniture needs attention-cushions as well. We had a boat and although road belongs to the municipality you need to warn us that only a 4x4 can get down there. We inquired about this before and nothing was said. You can also provide a service for boat launching and retrieving. We do not mind paying for this service. SPA was very attractive but toilets had no paper and one did not have paper or toilet roll holder. Please make sure you have water in the container that you offer to guests, empty and no one around. All in all a great place that is lacking in some follow through but we will return.

Location was great, staff friendly and polite. Kids facilities are wonderful. Programs for the children. Excursion company was great and very helpful. Klippie, excursion company owner, thank you for all your help and advice. Our stay was very memorable family time. Breakfasts were wonderful. The view is incredible and a wonderful relaxing time for adults and kids. The rooms were all wonderful with great views of the dam. The rooms were well kept, quiet and spacious.

Level of service is subpar and would be quite easy to rectify with better management. Eg Very difficult to book activities. the desk was often unmanned. And even at time of booking, it took a few attempts. My daughter hurt her toe on the rocks by the pool and there were no plasters in the first aid box. The restaurant ran out of milk and couldn’t serve me coffee. The Villa,self catering, was not cleaned well. Everything felt sticky in the kitchen. Microwave still had food splatters on the door and tray. Cupboard Handles weren’t wiped. Oven..another story Freezer uncleaned. I had to clear out all the ice from the freezer. I didn’t create a fuss as I was on holiday trying to relax.

Beautiful location, tranquil and really allows one to unwind.

Fishing - you should have your own company for fishing tours. We had to wait for half an hour for petrol and bait to come. Also caught no fish .... :)

Small things really, the bath plug dit not seal. So the water would not stay long in the bath. After one bath the warm water was finished and the kettle’s cover was also broken. But this dit not hinder us from enjoying our stay.

The location around the lodge is very rural. But the lodge itself is beautiful with an amazing view. It was clean and the staff was really friendly. Each room has the most spectacular view.

Steam room was not working; pool was closed for the day when a tree was being cut down. Nobody could tell by when the pool would be open again.

Very nice hotel with restaurant onsite and lots of activities for families. Buffets at breakfast and dinner were tasty and well-presented. Zanele from Front of house, called ahead of time to confirm requirements which was a nice touch. Very friendly staff. Spa treatments were delightful.
