Very Peaceful Garden and comfortable room

Breakfast could be more generous otherwise everything was lovely. Nice big fire outside by Pizza area would also make sitting outside a bit more pleasant as we had to sit outside first evening for dinner.

Warm people and friendly staff. Dinner options sufficient and can please most pallets. Would have liked to stay longer but not able to do so this time

Some of the outdoor furniture needed a bit of a clean

The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 large teenage boys to share comfortably (at least for 1 night!). The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. This made for a great over night stop on the garden route.

Nothing not to like and with superb Boplaas whisky and wine cellar just down the road, you cannot go wrong!

We have stayed here before and will continue to support Karoo Life BnB. It is relaxed, convenient, welcoming and value for money. The breakfast is great and their restaurant is well above expectations and popular with evening diners. I always enjoy a swim which is a great relief in the Karoo heat. The rooms are comfortable and clean with air-conditioning and a fan.

I was made to feel very welcome especially by the dog Liefie who became my friend! Lesley was very helpful when my TV and air-conditioning played up. Lovely to eat dinner on the premises and the breakfast was adequate. Lovely room and very comfortable.

Very comfortable room. We had a room in the garden. A/c worked well thank goodness as it was a hot day. We were able to sit in the garden relaxing in the shade of the trees. Lovely to have a swim when we arrived. We ate at the property on our second night and had excellent pizzas. This was a return visit for us and it was every bit as good as the first. Lovely friendly dogs

I enjoyed my stay and don't have any complaints.

No 5 was at the end of all the units with a table and chair outside to sit, have yr coffee and enjoy the view. The room was big, bed was comfy and had all the amenities that is needed. With a Restuarant on site.. just 80 steps from my room ( I counted). Lovely outside area to sit under the trees. Braai facilities. Everything is there for you to enjoy. Being in Calitzdorp was fantastic as my ancestors started the "dorp". The Museum is just up the road with so much history of how it all started. So.. yes..I enjoyed my stay and wished I booked another day.

A light switch nearer bathroom might have been been good but not a deal breaker!

It was just what I needed after a long hot drive. Delicious breakfast. Room spacious. Nice to have milk in fridge. Loved hearing distant church bells.

Perhaps the garden / outside chairs etc need a spruce up, throw out.... and service in restaurant was quite slow (understandably) ....

The receptionist was pre occupied on our arrival.

Lesley the chef and owner was a superb host. It has a pool and a lovely garden plus the dinner was excellent, especially the ostrich.

Comfortable and well appointed rooms. It was 48 degrees outside on 26 December 2024 and the airconditioner and pool was an absolute blessing. Breakfast was very good.
