The location is absolute heaven, on top of the Knysna Head overlooking the lagoon and the ocean. We got a great upgrade to a bigger room with a cosy fireplace. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly!

The highlight of our stay was definitely Lana Oosthuizen. She made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Her knowledge of the area was impressive—she gave us great recommendations for fun experiences and fantastic restaurants. The cherry on top was the surprise she arranged for my partner’s birthday, making her feel truly special. Lana’s thoughtful and personal touch made our stay unforgettable!

Buffet breakfast was excellent. Hotel was spotless. Staff members extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived quite late, but the owner waited patiently. All in all, a brilliant experience!

The hotel is in need of renovation, certain details do not correspond to an accommodation that calls itself a premium guest house, it has certainly seen better times. The pillows and mattress have seen better times, the towels need to be changed urgently, they are frayed and stained. Our suite had also a kind of a kitchen but the furniture was in a bad shape and really disgusting, the fridge was terribly noisy. we did not feel really comfortable inside, one window looked to the parking and the suite looks like half renovated. The room was not perfectly cleaned. The description of the luxury accommodation does not correspond and the price should be reduced by at least 20%, of course you may pay for the exceptional view. (We can compare directly with other accommodation with estuary and sea views, not on the Knysna Heads, of course).

We booked here because of the location and the reviews. The courtesy of the staff and the service in the restaurant are undoubtedly excellent. We have dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Location: of course the views are amazing! You can enjoy the terrace and have a nice and quiet morning or afternoon.

If I have to mention just two things, the shower did not have hot water on one of the mornings. But on the other it worked perfectly. WIFI was not too strong in the room.

Lana, the owner and her staff were remarkable and always attentive. The location, the serenity of listening to the waves crushing down below. The room was also impeccable with allot of attention to detail.

The room looked luxurious, but the shower flooded into the room . making the floors dangerously slippery, the bathrolm and shower doors were precarious. The sockets only worked with the extension cables, which was worrying safetywise. The lighting was bad for putting on makeup / drying hair, and it was difficult backing out of the steep driveway.

The aspect, views, and location were amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good. Room decor lovely.. The bed was comfortable.
