The apartment we stayed in was super clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was enough to keep us warm as well as Middelburg is known to be cold during the winter. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a friendly smile, and all staff that we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. The small kitchenette had everything we needed to make quick meals and was cleaned during our stay as well, which was a surprise, but we appreciated that a lot! I would definitely recommend this establishment for a stay!

It’s not comfortable especially the beds, toilet wasn’t clean, you can hear the person’s noise in the other room, the stairs when going to the next room you don’t feel safe when climbing them, tv channels are boring, footstep sounding when walking it’s irritating, no WiFi 😔

My staff really appreciated the fact that they were personally greeted by the owner. Very friendly and made them feel welcome. I am definitely will make use of the accommodation in the future.

We loved this place so much! Booked the self catering unit. It's so beautiful the pictures don't do justice to it. It was 100% clean. Very convenient and safe parking. Easy location to find. The beds were very comfortable. Staff super friendly too. We definitely found a home whenever we'll be in Middelburg! Never going anywhere else.

The room was just a bit cold but i had a hot water bottle that helped .

The room was a lovely quite atmosphere , Loved the shower - good water preassure . There was perculated coffee which made my day !!! Owner is a lovley person - will definatly stay there again.

The cleaner knocked on our door an hour before check out time,reminding us to leave at 10:00 and she was very rude.

The place was clean, I loved their decorative elements especially their paintings. It was easy to locate and the receptionist was very friendly.

The place was generally tidy, but it needed a more thorough cleaning, particularly the drains. The tap water was dirty, and there was no prior warning about this issue.

There was subtle condescending doubt planted about my booking./credit card/ identity or ability to produce my id. This subtle undertone racism irked me before my arrival.

There was no shower head on the shower, which is not acceptable for a 4 star establishment, and also no door for the bathroom, so I had to keep the curtains closed. Although I don't think it was on the property, there was a rooster that crowed at 2.22am the first morning and 3.08am the second morning and woke me up both nights and then carried on crowing from time to time until sunrise. If you are a light sleeper like I am, this is not ideal.

The bed was really comfortable, the unit was very clean and the coffee and tea selection (with real milk) was great.

The owner n staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. They went beyond to make sure we had the best stay! The lodge is absolutely beautiful and clean.
