Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe place is tranquil and peaceful. Beautiful for a quick and quiet getaway. The cottage has basic necessities, a microwave would have been great. Seeing wildlife from the room is an added bonus. I would book again.

VietnamThe raised tents need better lighting for those cold nights reading in bed.
We loved the solitude and tranquility we were provided with when staying in the raised camped area of the reserve. We had the whole place to ourselves for four days and that made it really extra special. Johannes was really helpful and guided us through all that was needed. The place was spotless, and the kitchen was easily one of the best equipped that we have ever come across. We were visited by warthogs, baboons, monkeys, squirrels, and a mysterious ginger cat who appeared for breakfast and dinner and slept with us every night, but disappeared back into the bush in the afternoon. We did a couple of game drives and two decent hikes, and we had the African bush experience we were looking for. It lived up to our expectations-we will come again.

South AfricaThe mountain biking and trail running across the property is varied, diverse and it caters for all levels of riding and running. The effort into marking the trails and routes is one of the biggest pleasures of riding there. One can use Trail Forks, but it is not necessary in order to find your way around. However, the trails are very well documented on Trial Forks as well so you can mix and match ride and find shortcuts when you need to. The areas where rocks are packed to mark the route and concrete has been used to fill in the more difficult rocky areas, gives a sense of comfort that it’s ridable and you don’t have to stop to look at the obstacles before riding them. The property is big enough to ride 70kms without repeating the same areas over and over again. While riding the game viewing and the birdlife is such a treat and remarkable. The reserve feels alive with wildlife, and one sees very few other people around, so you feel that you have the place to yourselves. The picnic spots are a wonderful place to meet for drinks and snacks with the non-riders and non-runners or for after activity relaxing. The small touches that made us feel welcome like the towels folded like swans, fresh cut flowers on the table, the loo paper folded into a wild dog, the firewood, the ice in the deep-freeze and the lovely little Lindani soaps. The information file and the trail maps were a fantastic source of information and conducive to making the stay easy and the trails descriptions were really great to get an idea of where to ride, run and walk. The small things that make life easier for travellers: paper towel, a full salt cellar, the coffee plunger, hangers in the cupboards, extra blankets for the cold. The kitchen was well appointed. We loved the recycling bins. The gas water was great and our showers were perfectly hot. We love the reflection bench looking over the plain and the water hole – there was always something beautiful to see there or just experience the silence.

South AfricaThe access road to Stone house was a bit bumpy which made the drive a bit long between gate and house.
Loved the bush and ease of contacting office and kitchen for anything - they were super helpful. The bush was incredibly beautiful and lush, and animals were well looked after. Very comfortable lodging and great bed linen.

South AfricaOur overall experience was a delight. There was however a challenge with one of our accommodations not having hot water and eventually running out of water completely which caused an immense inconvenience. Other than that, all was well. Thank you once again.
The Lindani Game Lodge is situated in a location which is surrounded by nature and animal life. The environment is serene, refreshing and private. Our personal guide, Mr Solly Nkhumane, was very hospitable, polite and even went beyond the call of duty in ensuring that our experience during the stay was a memorable one. Lastly, during our game drive, we stopped to indulge in delicious crunchies and assorted beverages and water, courtesy of the lodge, which was a lovely and welcomed surprise. Thank you so much for making our family's stay unforgettably worthwhile.
