Easy access, spacious beautiful rooms **Misleading marketing tactics with no accountability**

Some tents are VERY close to each other so you can hear people entering, exiting, and being in their room. Some staff were truly wonderful, others didn't seem to care at all. As Mudluli caters to groups, all meals were buffet style and not very fresh or healthy, everything was quite processed. Cafe not great. *** I was told it was within Kruger Gate and I would only have to pay park fees one time while entering the park and I could self drive as I please. This was not the case. I was told upon check in I have to pay every time I enter the park (as the property is not in Kruger Park) and I need to return back before 17:00 as the Kruger gates would close. This was very misleading and restricting - when I questioned the policy at check in reception was unhelpful and unphased. They said I have to book evening game drives with them (because of the gate closures) and pay every time I enter, multiple times a day if I chose to enter and exit Kruger Park.

The rooms were meticulously clean and very comfortable - big plus for the heating function as Winter nights and mornings can get quite chilly. They are modern, very spacious, and felt very private until someone moved in next door the 2nd night. Piping hot water and great water pressure. View of the watering hole from the pool, cafe, and restaurant is great, spacious property.

Frontdesk staff didn't ask us if we had the wild card or how else would we pay for the park entry. Only on the second day and after 2 safaris, we were asked to pay and upon informing that we had the wild card the staff wasn't happy and told us that we should have presented the same at the time of check in. Isn't it the duty of the hotel to ask? Evening safaris are avoidable.

Every thing was nice, the property and the staff all was good. Vegetarian options were also a plenty.

The tents are quite far from the Lodge and with only one golf cart you sometimes have to wait for transportation to the reception area. I thought that the lodge was inside the KNP. You have to travel the 6 or 7 kms to the gate and then enter the park to do any game viewing.

The breakfasts were very good. In fact the food was all outstanding.

I wouldn’t say that there was anything I didn’t like. Just a few things I would personally prefer 1. When guests arrive maybe let them settle in before having to book all the safaris etc. 2. Personally I would love it if someone tidies the room in the morning as opposed to the afternoon, it is nice to come back to a made up room after breakfast and lounging at the pool for a bit. 3. It was extremely hot when we were there, just a suggestion for salads and cold desserts, maybe put it on an ice tray when serving to keep it cool. Other than that, it was fantastic

Everything about Mdluli was truly exceptional, from our check in to departure, every detail was handled with the upmost care. All of the staff were very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our stay truly world class. On our last night we heard about the Mdluli story which made the stay even more remarkable. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Mdluli offers everything needed for a luxurious, relaxing break. The lodge is perfectly situated with Numbi gate the closest access point to Kruger. The tents are very well appointed, the food excellent and the staff members could not have been more attentive. The abundant bird life and quiet of the African bush added to a most memorable experience.

Staff where lovely . We did full board and the food and game drives where included . Food was delicious, game drives where great , located just inside the krugar park so no need to go through front gates in mornings which must be recent because we had read you did have to . Would recommend full day drive as you go deeper into the park and gives you best chance of seen everything. Luxury tent was massive

Pitty, it was too cold to use the outdoor shower. Luckely there was a second one inside, heated, although I love showering under the sky

The location in the park was amazing. Viewing from the breakfast room we could see elephants and zebra s drinking from the pool. Very big luxury tents, wth very big beds. Not easy to find in SA. Also our welcome drink, a homemade ice tea, was outstanding. ❤️I am still looking for the content. And despite all rumours, we left the lodge via the Nubia gate during day time. Everything was very safe on the road.

Unfortunately hit a very cold winter spell, so outdoor dining was cut short. They'd be best to seat guests indoors when temperatures are so cold.
