We had a wonderful stay at Meadow View. Our room was really beautifully decorated with heated blankets, a kitchenette and a beautiful view. The host was lovely and really welcoming. A really short walk to the main street with the restaurants and bars.

There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

We were thoroughly impressed by the overall quality of the accommodation. As regular birders visiting Wakkerstroom twice a year, we found this guest house to be one of the best we’ve stayed at. The environment was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for early mornings and long days in the field. The host was exceptionally friendly and caring, which made us feel genuinely welcome. We also appreciated the added peace of mind that came with the property’s solar power system and borehole – both crucial, considering our previous challenges with electricity and water outages in the area.

A shower instead of a bath would be nice. But wasn't a problem . Lots of hot water was great, which is often a problem at some places.

Room was comfortable and fully equipped. Lovely view and so peaceful. Deon and Nicole are amazing hosts. Location is good. Close to town and all birding.

The owners really took the extra mile to make the unit look modern and beautiful. They paid lots of attention to detail, from the furnishings to the decorations. There was indeed NOTHING wrong with the accommodation! An added bonus was the beautiful gardens and the mountain view when relaxing on the patio.

Nothing not to like. An umbrella in the room and plug access on the sides of the bed would be great. The manual lock on the entrance gate can be quite trying, but not an issue.

The room and cottage (I had the room for a night) are situated on a beautiful, spacious property with a huge garden and views of the village. Solid and quality building materials and fixtures used all round. Very comfortable, firm mattress, plenty of hot water (but no shower, only bath), lovely wide terrace with comfortable armchairs. Peace and quiet supreme. A lovely guest house run by Deon and Nicolle in a charming and extremely friendly village. Highly recommended.

The setting of this accommodation is excellent and just far enough from the town center to enjoy the quiet country atmosphere Wakkerstroom offers! It also has a beautiful view from the room and cozy stoep/verand area!

The internal finishes were very tastefully done. All the various items necessary for a self catering unit plus other touches made this a 5star experience. We would happily come back again for the experience.

No complaints. Everything was excellent.

It was booked for my wife's birthday, the host had a bottle of champagne with a birthday card ready and cold in the room. The reception on arrival was excellent from Deon.

Lack of privacy, need partitions or screens at patio. No plug or cable by mirror for wife’s hairdryer. Bathroom surfaces cluttered with decor, no space to place anything.
