The house does need a bit of tlc. Some of the sliding doors did not lock, sections of the decking are broken with screws sticking out. Some light bulb weren't working. Just general maintainance issues that need to be done. The additions of aircons will be a huge value add.

A beautiful house in the bush. Loved the layout of the house. The pool was a very welcomed addition. Lynette was very helpful from booking to checking amd throughout our stay. The housekeeper (Marsha) was very friendly and professional.

Bedroom 3 had a very uncomfortable bed, one of the planks on the bed base was broken. Bedding was not clean. There was pee on the bathroom floor. We had to clean it coz the smell was unbearable.

There could have been some handsoap/ handcream and shampoo in each of the bathrooms. Advertising the unit as a Game Lodge, we expected a small touch like this Dishwasher lining coming away from the door We booked to rent the game viewer for a day, which unfortunately was not roadworthy

Location was excellent and we enjoyed being surrounded by the bush and roaming animals which was a lovely treat for our international visitors and the children in our party Rooms were beautifully decked out and comfortable

The property requires some maintenance for example the globes need to be replaced on the balcony (only 1 globe of the Chandelier is working) the shower heads are not all in good working condition, the swimming pool water pipe need to be replaced or fixed, and some of the bed lamps/plugs are not working correctly. The game drive vehicle need to be repaired the flat tire and fuel pump/battery. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our experience.

Loadshedding , very hot ,no aircon in the rooms, got lost to find the place. Address says no 21, but it's 621. Google maps does not take you to the right location . Pool seems like it needed a bit of a clean. Filled it up with water, but it kept making a sucking noise, but that was not a big issue., it was lovely to cool off

Lovely place with everything anyone would need, you don't need to bring anything, just food and drinks. The dishes and glasses are good quality. Very comfy , enough space for everyone .Pool is nice. Nice view. Very close to plaaswinkel shop and ingwe restaurant and bar.

The road to the Lodge was very poor. Also, the kitchen zinc was infested with cockroaches. The right hand showerhead in room 2 bathroom was leaking. Although we had to pay a R2000 breakage deposit, there was no list to check the content of the house.

Was not ready on arrival: Dirty cutlery and crockery Dirty curtains and carpets Ashtray full of cigarettes Light in washing up area in kitchen did not work Cleaner which was sent in thought agreed that no one had been in before we arrived and said there were cobwebs and dirt everywhere. Had to spend our few days away with workmen coming in to fix problems and cleaners cleaning. Advert says toiletries included however there was no body wash available. We ordered logs for the fireplace but was given no firelighters or matches/ lighter to use.

The location The accommodation itself was beautiful and had huge potential.

Very dirty. Cockroaches all over the kitchen. And dirty utensils in drawers. Microwave did not work. Struggling to get the R2500 breakage deposit refunded from host. We’ve had no communication about any issues and after asking Lynette about the refund she said she will get back to us. It’s nearly another week later and still no answer. We’ve checked out on the 11th of April 2025. Game Viewing vehicle hired for the day and was hoping to go on a sunrise drive but the vehicle had no fuel in it. Just about made it to the fuel station at the gate which did not open until 8 am. What a disappointment. If the key code was sent thought before 23:00 the night before we could have filled the vehicle with fuel the night before.

Magnificent holiday home, with a beautiful deck area and pool. The entertainment area is separate to the bedrooms and it is a perfect retreat for couples or families. Great value for money. Beautiful Modern Venue with Stunning Views Comfortable Clean and spacious too. Fully equipped with all the necessities and amenities needed. Mingwe is majestic and we will definitely go back. Enjoyed our game drive with so much to see.
