The food was disappointing & never hot - just lukewarm

We had a fabulous cabin - right on the end with no fencing & we could watch the animals walk past. No tourists coming & going past us. We had the most knowledgeable thoughtful informative guide (Sodin)& spotter (Chris)who always knew where the animals were going& could drive around to get a closer look at them arriving

It was one of the rare places where, during checkout, we felt as though we were saying goodbye to dear friends before embarking on a long journey. The chefs crafted exquisite meals with great care, thoughtfully accommodating dietary restrictions and ensuring each dish was a delight. We’re also deeply grateful to Caswel, our skilled tracker, and Jika, our expert safari driver. The team of people working at Moditlo and the style of the accommodation were very special indeed. Our bush guide and tracker were great fun to be with and very knowledgeable.

I wish there was more variety of food (during the game drives and during lunch). The gym is very outdated and most of the equipment did not work. The train. The wifi was too slow.

The location is great because it’s close to the airport, but it’s also close to the railway so you hear the goods train all the time. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We saw 4 of the bug 5. We met wonderful guests. Rico our guide and Mdu the tracker were amazing. Donald who accompanied us to our rooms when it was dark was also great, together with all the staff. We loved seeing the lioness with her cubs on our last day, thanks to Rico who would not give up on trying to find them. Seeing the herd of elephants was breath taking. The boma dinners were great (buffet style).

There is a train line close to the reserve and really disturbing our peace when the train passed early morning and in the night hours... :-(

The safari trips to see animals was really good and our guides did put in a lot of effort! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good but not what we expected from a 5-star rated reserve.

Everything was perfect

We had the best days in moditlo, everything was perfect! All the staff are super kind and helpful, they made us feels like home. The food is amazing, all the dishes were espetacular and fresh. We loved the dinner in the boma, it was a very special night. Our rangers rico and mdu are the best! They made everything for us to have the bests safaris ever and see the big 5! They always asked wich animals we wanted to see and did what they could to find them, they always did it! We are goingo to miss the days in moditlo, it was a beautiful experience!

Unfortunately we booked just 2 nights but is our fault we would have like to stay few more days

We loved everything and any minute spent there. Very much well located,staff was very friendly and knowledgeable,the room was incredibly clean and comfortable with a huge shower and bath so imagine the relax. We had 4 incredible safari excursions with one of the best guy and tracker,honestly we couldn’t be happier about everything. They were so passionate about their job in 4 safari we saw all the big 5 animals and more. Honestly team keep going like this and you will make an amazing holiday to everyone. Grazie

Just 2 minor things, not impacting the 10/10 score. 1) Some drinks were included some others weren't, but we didn't find out until checking out. The drinks during the drives were included the ones during meals were not. Just a surprise bill at the end. Prices were reasonable anyway, we were just not fully informed of how it worked and caught us by surprise. 2).There is a little gap between their internal rules (checkout at 11am) and what is posted on booking (checkout at 12am).

The place is fantastic. Everything is clean, tidy and well designed. Everyone from the staff was super kind. They really make you feel welcome. The reserve is quite large and it has plenty of animals. We saw elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, hippos, pangolins, cheetahs, warthogs and all sorts of antelopes. It was fantastic. Special mention to Rico (guide) and Mdu (tracker). They were both extremely knowledgeable, kind, engaging and fun! They went the extra mile ensuring we saw everything we wanted to see. They made sure we always got a good view of the animals and that we were comfortable. They answered all our questions and kept us involved in the decision making of that to do next. 10/10.

Unfortunately one can hear the road from time to time, the dinner did not quite meet our expectations.

Very nice and cosy lodge, high class, touching luxury, but not too posh, very friendly staff, super experienced guides and trackers! We had the game drive of our lives with them!

Property was beautiful with animals all around the villas, so you're immersed in nature surrounded by a lot of the animals you'll want to see at the actual lodge and you're not limited to seeing them just in the game drives, which is amazing. You have kudu, gnala, monkeys, giraffes and elephants all around. Incredible vibe and dynamic!
