Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaAlthough we called 10 minutes before arrival as instructed , we had to call another 3 times and waited for nearly an hour in parking area to be collected which is not normal at Nambiti . Also the bath looked lovely but was in an open area in the room with no screens or doors which meant no privacy to have a bath , which was not great and could have been planned better for a family holiday . The shower in contrast was in a private room
All was lovely. Great staff , beautiful facilities, great Game Ranger. Saw 4 of big 5 plus lots of other animals

South AfricaThere is nothing that could have been better!
Nambiti Hills is as close to heaven on earth as you can get. From the beautiful location, exceptional service, beautiful game drives with coffee at dawn or a drink at sundown, to the heavenly meals and dreamy, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms, Nambiti Hills is paradise. Do not hesitate to book here. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Senzo and Vusi and the other staff were super friendly. Vusi made the game drives really fun and made sure we see all the animals. I have never been so close to lions or elephants or Rhinos in the wild like how I experienced at Nmabiti. Will be back

South AfricaMy only negative is that as it was a milestone celebration for my wife and I that they could have been more attentive to that. The resort did lack some personal touches which we have experienced at other lodges.
The staff were all just amazing - they were all friendly and really helpful. The game viewing was great. The rooms were lovely and opulent. The decor modern and the food was exceptional.

The lodge has just renovated and everything has been beautifully done. Our ranger, Lebo, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The lodge has an amazing view and pool so it's perfect for relaxing. I was sick with flu the first night, the staff were very kind and brought our 3 course dinner to our room.

United KingdomMost meals were great but the duck was over cooked and very tough so had to send it back. They were lovely however and an alternative was offered and was quickly available.
Staff were brilliant friendly kind and attentive. The Game drives were very good. The attention to detail was great, while at dinner or breakfast your room is cleaned, mosquito nets draw beds turned down etc....

South AfricaThe food could be improved, especially for a 5 star lodge we were expecting more of a fine dining experience.
It is a beautiful location. And the game drives were the most amazing experience seeing so many of the big 5 up close. Our game ranger Wonder was so good, excellent service, so knowledgeable and helped us see so many animals.

South AfricaWe thought it was a bit odd that there was a x1 drink limit on the game drives. This didn't affect us since we're not big on drinking anyway - however, it was a bit unusual and a few other guests had the same remarks. We had booked this stay over New Years as a getaway to do something special for the occasion; we were surprised that there was no special celebration/dinner/event to ring in the New Year.
The breakfast is fab with quite a lot of variety - fresh fruits and juice, pastries, a la carte etc. The tea and dinner were also up to standard - it would be great if they added a few more elevated South African classics. The common areas and rooms are beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail, we particularly enjoyed the small patio and the large windows of the bedroom that looked out onto the veld where warthogs, nyala, and kudu were strolling past, as well as the beautiful weaver birds building nests in the trees. I had an in-room massage, which was fab. The reserve has a plethora of animals one would hope to see on a game drive - it's perfect for first-timers and foreigners. Our ranger Joe was knowledgeable and patient. Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation.
