Nothing really being so close to the waves everything feels a little damp.

You can’t find a better location where you can sit having breakfast and watch whales breaching in the ocean and sea otters enjoying their own breakfast. The opposite end of the day night sky is awesome with virtually no light pollution the milky way is right overhead.

The weather was not on our side this time, and this weekend. It was windy and stormy. We could not even go on the mountain trail due to the bad weather. We hope for better weather next time.

The unique. beach front, sea front location. It was amazing. The wifi connection, Netflix and the card games kept us busy during the rainfall and windy weather.

There was an 8km dirt road(well kept, but unexpected) to the facility. The GPS to the facility wasn't accurate, but we could phone Joubert, who guided us to the place. Quite a steep path from the parking to the front door. There are no top sheets on the beds, so if you are like me and like a top sheet, take your own. There is a small shop on the facility, but buy all your food before going there, because the closest shop is about 15km from there.

The views were stunning and the facility was very clean. The house had all the necessary amenities and we felt very safe.

1. We were not made aware of the +-7Km rough dirt road leading to Eersterivierstrand - knowing this would possibly have changed our choice of booking location, or at least allowed us to use a more appropriate vehicle for our trip☹️. 2. We were not forewarned about the poor drinking quality of the tap water, (which was not palatable). Upon arrival there was no customary chilled drinking water available in the fridge, nor any ice with which to chill the drinks that we had brought for our stay. We had to wait until the next day to procure same back at a thrift store located 9km away (traversing the same dirt road mentioned above, there & back)😔 On the day of departure, we left some bought drinking water in the fridge, and "loaded ice-trays" for the next guests... 3. The unit could use a proper "deepclean"...

The location was isolated, rugged & unspoilt... and the rolling waves literally fizzle to a halt almost in your lap... Definitely the spot to be if you love being close to the ocean!!😁😁 The kitchen is well equipped, and is a plus for longer stays.

The house smelt like braai smoke when we opened the door and all the linen and towels also smelled like braai. But easily fixed with airing and just washed the towels in the washing machine.

The location is incredible. The ocean is your front yard. This place was like food for your soul. Fully equipped with everything you need. Will be back for sure.

Just take note that the 'coffee machine' is a Nespresso machine. Wonderful to have, but it means nothing if you don't bring the pods

This is the perfect location for a laid-back retreat right on the rocks. The covered terrace with built-in barbeque offers a perfect setting to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.

The road leading into the estate definitely requires some investment to make it more convenient. Or come through with a 4x4. Limited access to convenience stores so make sure to come with all your supplies. Rooms were spacious, but there were just way too many flies!!!

No shops nearby but Oudebosch stall (15-20 mins away depending on vehicle type) had everything we forgot to bring.

Loved everything about the place. Host was very responsive. Place was fully equipped and our needs were met above and beyond. Location is perfect.
