Needs some TLC but I do see owners are trying.

This is a beautiful old building. The rooms are lovely. I loved the view from our veranda (unit 3). We ate at restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Food was amazing.

I had a migraine and never had tablets - asked staff if they have anything for me and they didn't have.

Only a bath no shower, freezing cold no electric blanket and fireplace make too much smoke so we had to put it out so it stayed cold

The amenities in the room could be improved. Due to the cold weather, the heater unfortunately was not stong enough. There also wasn't a microwave available or any other option to reheat food.

Location was great, very peaceful. Close to the local mall.

Insufficient parking. Couch and chair in room aged and uncomfortable. Breakfasts disappointing compared to our previous stay 3 years ago - no pastries, cereals, etc.

Stunning setting and views. Quiet and peaceful. Spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Very hot water. Blue gum trees are magnificent.

Really nitpicking here, but the lighting in the bathroom and living area could be looked at. There seems to be a lack of personal touches in the hotel. Not once during our stay was the fire in the lounge ever lit, despite the temperature warranting such. Earlier reviews mention homemade rusks in the rooms, none were present during our stay. There is also no form of hotel guide in each room, describing hotel policies, facilities etc.

Lovely stay overall. Great service from staff. Great location. Bed was so comfortable. Dinner at hotel was rather pleasant.

There was no parking dedicated to residents/guests while there was a function in the hall and the bar prices were high for the facility offered.

Comfortable accommodation with good breakfast and dinner in old-style country hotel. Great location for exploring local meander attractions and surrounding area for trails.

Some of the bedding had stains on. It wasn't dirty, you could see it's just stains, but it's still not nice.

Everyone went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was to much for them. All the staff was super friendly. The food was out of this world.... really delicious! We will definitely return!

if it's country living you want to experience, that's exactly what you get at Old Halliwell! Property was cozy and felt like a home away from home. Both supper and breakfast was amazing. We don't eat beef or Pork and the restaurant provided alternatives at no additional charge for breakfast. The horses on the property were a highlight!

Wanted a romantic fire in our room to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary to be disappointed by damp wood and NO Cosy, romantic fire.

A disappointing stay from a place that usually delivers. Beautiful venue, old world charm. Lovely huge rooms, comfortable beds, but ours really needed a face lift. Room heater was not working, and only one heater for two rooms. Fire place is open so didn't want a smokey room. Upon arrival at 4.30pm (temperature of 8°C) the lights were off in the lounge and bar, no fire was on, and no music. So no welcoming atmosphere as I have experienced before. We had to request for a fire in the bar, and for some music in the dinner area which was only switched on half way through our meal. Dinner was lovely. Portions are great. Breakfast meal was very average. Breakfast artisan bread very soggy, and I had a hair in my mushrooms. I booked here because I have stayed quite a few times over the years, and wanted to bring my children to experience it. Left a little disappointed.
