How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Bath in room 242 was cracked. Furniture was dirty. Water damage at entrance to room above door. Breakfast staff was terrible. Did not clear table and rude.

The water maintenance is affecting the water quality. I was unable to use the bath as the water was very muddy & not 'slightly brown' as stated in the letter provided at the hotel room.
Beautiful hotel in stunning estate. The accommodation was great & of high standard. Stunning views of both mountains & ocean.

The courtesy bus could not transfer a disabled person from wheelchair to vehicle. But i felt that this Hotel are still under new ownership and revamping and i feel that they have the vision to address this in future.
Breakfast is fantastic! And this Hotel has got good staff and in particular a senior leader in this hotel by the name Chris. Chris, thank you for going above and beyond in order to make the stay excellent, resolving stumbling blocks very fast and make things happen. my spouse is a woman with a disability. And you made this stay so wonderful for her. I thank you.

If I have to criticize something it is the rooms are not sound proof, but they seldom are.
Beautiful setting and the staff is very professional and friendly. Breakfast compare with the best of the best. WiFi was good.

They need to seriously upgrade their tvs and bathroom facilities. The remotes were not available immediately and had to be brought retrospectively.

Transport to and from various attractions is very expensive, recommend car hire if you’re gonna want to go around! Uber is scarce around the area, about a 15-30 min wait
The breakfast was excellent, I enjoyed everything I ate!! The oats was a wow!! The salmon pate was top class!!

I had a cake that I wanted to have with tea, and I requested a cutlery from the hotel, but I was told I cannot get one without ordering food from the restaurant, the restaurant owner was so rude to me that she told me, this is not a B&B, it is a hotel.
We enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, as well as the breakfast. It was nice to be able to see both the mountains and the sea from the hotel. The atmosphere is relaxing and spacious.

Wet room / shower and bath setup not ideal for anyone with kids. Great if a couple, but otherwise not great. Stayed in a garden room this time round, didn't realize how far it was to get to the main building (last time we were in the main building). Small maintenance and upkeep of property lacking slightly. Didn't deter our stay.
Not our first stay here, came back because of a previous good experience. Rooms are large and spacious. Luxurious accommodation and amenities. Excellent price. Great breakfast selection, although not fully halaal. Staff always attentive and accommodating to our requests at last minute booking. Will definitely book here again.

Breakfast cold and disinterested staff on the whole. Egg cooker excellent but waiters helped grudgingly. Suggest coffee machine to help out. Takes ages to order coffee and tea. The only available restaurant had a limited food menu.

There was a bad smell coming from the pipes which got worse as we turned the AC in the executive room. Which made sleeping in that room unbearable, otherwise the hotel is beautiful .

Parking was not situated close to the room for such a large establishment.
Well located with a beautiful outlook. A very good breakfast buffet was served, staff friendly and attentive. Room was spacious and comfortable.
