First off the housekeeping staff were very pleasant. However, three times DIFFERENT housekeeping staff walked into our room without any announcement or knocking (showing that this is presumably allowable by housekeeping management). This was extremely disconcerting. We did have the Make Up Room sign up but it had been up since 8am and rooms were only cleaned at 2pm so we can't be prepared every minute of those six hours for a stranger to suddenly be in our midst. Also the huge noise made by groups of housekeeping staff in the corridors really impact the quiet enjoyment of the room. I suggest a bit more training as the above were not isolated incidents.

We had a very good stay. The breakfast was particularly excellent. As were the breakfast and reception staff. Parking is easy and accessible. Great restaurants are within walking distance.

The shower was cold, no hot water. The following morning i did go to reception to report and they provided a different room that did not have any guests. Shower was luke warm but shame the staff did try to accommodate us. Overall nothing wrong with the room or the hotel. We will definitely go again.

Staff was warm and friendly. It was a pleasure staying there. We will definitely book again. The stay will be longer and the children will accompany us. Thank you xx

Rooms are very neat but a bit dated but very generous size. Outside of hotel needs a bit of maintenance but the location makes up for that as it's very close to the Village which was a huge plus.

Stunning and well presented. Food was good and the breakfast area was bigger than other hotels which made it very comfortable to move around and access bufet.

On Friday evening there was no parking in front of the hotel, and we had to park down the street. Felt a bit pointless giving my car's number to reception. Our first morning the lady at the omelette station was very brusque, bordering on rude - even with my 11 year-old son. It was his first experience of a hotel, so he didn't really realise it - but I'm hoping it was just a bad morning for her. The section of hotel where we were staying was quite noisy due to guests. I spend a lot of time in hotels for work, and realise that most of the noise was normal hotel noise, doors slamming, guests trundling past my door in what sounded like an 8-horse carriage. However it really felt much louder than I experienced in newer hotels. Of course the hotel management can't really be faulted for this as guests are guests, but nonetheless it left a bit of a negative feeling for me. Had a lady singing at 4h15 on Sunday morning, and then again at about 6h00. Not sure if it was the same person. Beautiful voice, but at 4am it was jarring.

Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and appointed as expected for a hotel in this price range. Most all of the staff from when we first walked were very friendly and helpful. We did not make use of most of the facilities at the hotel, due to a short stay, but the pool looked beautifully clean and well maintained. Even though it is an older hotel, our room and dining room was clean.

The room, and the confusion about the booking. There was miscommunication between booking.com website and the hotel which caused us to move several times as we could not get the room we booked.

The breakfast, the staff, and location. Despite all the confusion the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The views are stunning and it's easy to drive out to various towns as the hotel is central.
