Unpredictable El Niño Cold Weather mid October '23. WiFi signal was very weak - a wifi extender should be installed. Paper Roller towel needed

Cute Rondavel with Excellent Sea Views. Coffee varieties and Rusks - 😋 Host was thoughtful to have heaters available & allowed use of an Airfryer (as no cooking allowed due to thatch roof).

It is maybe not for everyone but for me it is my dream rondavel house in Kleinmond right at the cliffs. Cooking is not allowed because of the natural reed roof but good equipped and a Braai is supported as well. Sitting on the terrace and watch the ocean was so exciting for me! Something for nature lovers!

Nothing stood out.

It was a cosy, rustic and romantic little cottage with a perfect location - a view of the sea from your bed. Positioned along the beautiful coastal walking paths amongst the fynbos. Playing LP records was a real blast from the past and good fun. We used the board games too during load shedding. We had a great time. Perfect for what we wanted 🥰

The WiFi was on and off, but didn’t need to use it too much.

Great location! Loved the fact that we could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The place has old furniture, but it gives a nice rustic vibe to the place. The rondawel had everything we needed. Pierre was away for the weekend, but he called Friday afternoon to ask if we are settled (great host). We will certainly make use of Rondawel with a sea view again.

There is nothing that could have made this better.

Fantastic location, views are superb, some of the best I have ever seen. The host met us on arrival and was very helpful and accommodating. The Venue is lovely and so so peaceful. Waking up to the sound of the waves is a truly special experience.

We found everything fantastic.

Absolutely stunning location. The Venue was peaceful and quiet. Very close to shops and restaurants. It was fantastic to wake up to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks. Loved the record player and LPs in the room

The house hasn't been cleaned from the last guests, which seemed genuine oversight in planning, and it was very quickly fixed. The owner also offered us to stay an extra night to make up for it, which was very thoughtful. The Rondawel is generally good for a short stay, as there is no kitchen (you can however make a coffee/tea!). The bathroom doesn't have a door, which makes for an intimate experience. Guess it depends on personal preference whether you mind that or not.

That view cannot be beat! The neighborhood is very quiet, and you can easily go outside for a stroll. The cats greeting you outside are the cutest ever. There were some good tips left by the host on where to get food.

Not a major thing but a bathroom concertina door or a curtain would be nice, the record player that did not work because of a faulty plug (we liked the choice of oldie records) and that our stay was too short

The place was clean, the pillows and duvet were amazing, the little treats left for us was delicious and apreciated, the high straw ceiling was great, the views were to die for, our host was super (offering us to use their braai facilities). we liked not having a tv etc

That it was attached to a house with an interleading door. No braai facilities or any ability to cook inside. ( thatch roof) Spiders....eek. Images are misleading..very little privacy.

WiFi a bit weak

The place was very dusty. Windows and roof did not seal causing a cold drought through the the room especially in winter time.. A microwave oven was available but stored in the cupboard and also full of dust. There was also a very big spider with the microwave nesting in the cupboard witch meant it was not cleaned for a long time . The bedding also smelled like old sweat especially the pillows. There was no television in the room, that I knew when I did the booking but the wifi connection was very bad and slow. At departure time problems experienced were brought under the attention of landlord who was unhappy with us for not making up the bed witch meant the next visitors will not get fresh bedding.
