Not really a negative but just something to be aware of, the rooms are right next to (part of) the house so the normal early house sounds can be heard. It wasn’t a negative for us but can possibly bother someone else.

Something to Consider: The bathroom is shared with one other room, which may not suit everyone. If a private bathroom is a must for you, this is something to keep in mind when booking.

We loved our stay! The location is peaceful, safe, and perfectly central to local attractions. Our spacious room was beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed and a large, refreshing shower. Mornings on the big stoep with coffee, rusks, and stunning Nottingham Road valley views were a highlight. Our hostess was a delight—welcoming, attentive, and full of great local tips. We'd like to warmly thank her for allowing us to use her full kitchen as well. A perfect getaway—we’ll be back!

Access to the main veranda was either through the main house or around the house. Layout of the rooms do not allow for a change to this. Was not really an issue.

Arlene was a cheerful hostess and she made us feel welcome. Place was spotless and had subtle items such as flowers on the toilet roll.

There was no microwave or iron to use in the room. Can also add a TV as an extra. The bathroom mats and the bathtub were not clean.

It's nice and spacious, a comfortable overnight accommodation. With a warm welcome on arrival. It is a lovely space and nicely decorated.

The owner who I called could not care that we had a booking through booking.com. Did not even open the gate to come chat to us. She was claiming that she had no booking for us even though I had a reply email from them confirming a queen bed request.

Absolute scam. Our booking did not exist and I demand a refund. We were left up $hit creek without a paddle because there was no other accommodation available. 🤬

There was no covered parking. The shower had no soap holder. No T.V and no private verandah. There is a lot of T.L.C needed.

The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean and fresh.

The guest house was quite easy to locate, and our host was extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though, we arrived late afternoon she was very friendly and quickly helped us to our room. The rooms exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend.

We will be making a return to Roscommon and we're bringing our friends...Such an amazing corner of paradise in the Midlands. Thank you Arlene. Reasons to Book: 1. Clean and Neat - the comfy bed and crisp sheets. 2. Spacious 3. Host - we arrived as guests and left as friends. 4. Views for Days - take your camera 5. Centrally located. 5mins from Notties. 6. Peace and tranquility...close enough to town but this place is food for the soul. 7. Price - Roscommon was my best kept secret.
