Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

I booked this stay for my parents, one of whom was having an eye surgery at a nearby hospital. They were so grateful for how helpful the host was with them, especially with navigating the town, which they were unfamiliar with.

It’s safe and secure. Signage : property visible from the road especially if you are new in town. Friendly staff who are willing to help to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Well maintained garden. Neat and tidy. Good size rooms.

There is not enough parking for the cars especially if the are fully booked.
The breakfast was perfect for me and my family . Anaska Husband the "Chef " he prepared for me and my family a home away breakfast . We really felt relaxed and home.

Nylstroom was very hot and an air con would be comfortable.
Host was very friendly and set us up in another room than the one paid for as we were friends and needed to sleep in single beds. She was willing to let us into the accommodation earlier as we were tired and left home early.

The room was small and it was very hot. The bed was not comfortable.
The owners Anaska and Graeme were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is convenient, easy access to R101.

Everything was perfect,there’s nothing not to like
The hosts were really friendly,and welcomed us with such open arms..The room was extremely clean with nice bedding.My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Sable Inn and would definitely book here again all thanks to the hosts hospitality..Keep it up Anaska and Graeme

I think perhaps an aircon would be better in the rooms even if it's those little portabls ones because it gets incredibly hot even with the fan on especuallt for the heat waves. But other then that we will definitely come back with or without an aircon ❤️
I loved the serenity of the place. Beautiful, clean and safe. The hosts Anaska and Graham made us feel so welcome from the minute we got out of the car .amazing humble people. It was like home away from home. ❤️❤️❤️

Everything was perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay. It's a kids friendly place. My kids really enjoyed their stay, the place is clean, the stuff is welcoming, friendly and handson. The owners Oooh my God.... They are so loving and very kind. We definitely going back to enjoy ourselves.

The only problem we had was that the power went out and then there was also no water. But it could not have been helped and it was early hours of the morning. By 8am everything was on and running again.
It was exceptional. We requested a braai and on arrival everything was perfect. Set up for us everything we could need. We just arrived and relaxed. It was wonderful. The rooms and bedding were very comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again.
