South AfricaThe chalets were not up to my standard,It’s just rooms and a kitchen and no sitting room so we all didn’t know what to do with ourselves.The water is quite salty and nauseating when brushing teeth. The toilets and taps are old and have scums,the shower mixers don’t really mix water so you just burn. Not having a couch or sitting area in a chalet was really a bummer and no TV, the kids were so bored,I know I should have done better research about the property 😭😭.There is a 4 km gravel road to the reception from main entrance and few signs for directions so you can easily get lost.Did I mention the salty water 🤢,they do however provide a 20litre for making tea/coffee and you should consider using this for brushing your teeth. There is apparently many branches or whatever under the Shelanti brand ,I had initially booked a holiday home for a family of 8 and later told that place has zero form of entertainment and no swimming pool which was confusing because on the photos used here on booking.com it says swimming pool as part of the facility,Was moved to a different property/chalets that had a pool but I was so unhappy I wished I had just cancelled and rather lose 50% of my money. And I had to pay additional money upwards of R3.5k which I didn’t budget for,I thought I was adding more money for a better property/upgrade only to be underwhelmed and disappointed.Definitely never going back 😪 There is only a bar fridge in the chalets so we didn’t have a space for all the meat and drinks we brought for Xmas,It’s not an ideal self catering place The WiFi doesn’t work!! Ps If driving from Joburg you will meet some road with giant potholes, be careful

South AfricaWe had no water to shower etc until late at night. Bad communication by staff. Felt like we are begging to get water. The gate of the reserve gets locked and you are on your own in a locked game reserve. No staff or reception area.

South Africa1.They are scams, I booked a luxury king room for two and received a booking confirmation for two. The booking doesn't give you an option to pay on booking.com so that they can rip you off. Before departure I received a call from the receptionist who told me if I want they will book us into a room closer to the restaurant but the cost is arround 5300 which was not too different from my original booking.com. Upon departure my partner went to the reception for payment and was charged more for the accommodation. He was charged R9592.00 When I query the invoice the lady told me that I originally booked for one person only. I tried explaining but she insisted I only booked for one person.

We asked for the restaurant and they had to go call the chef... we had to leave as we could not spend the night there with what we saw. It was sad, and the rooms look old with not TV...

South AfricaThe Wi-Fi connection was poor, it was strong at the reception. Our chalet had a mice which active in the early hours of the morning, this affected our sleep.
The Game reserve had a beautiful and peaceful surrounding, the beauty of seeing the animals walking around at a close view. It is child friendly with kids and adult swimming pool, the big play area. Beautiful walking path for your morning walks.

South AfricaWe had to wait at the main gate for 30min the first night and for 1 hour the second night, after we informed them about our ETA. I complained to the front desk about this where after the manager called me and was very rude to me because I complained. Not even once did he offer an apology, he just had so many excuses, like load shedding (even though this happened after load shedding) and said sometimes we all have to wait for someone! He complained that he must always do everything for the guests...I was shocked by how unprofessional he was.
The food is really good, the staff is very friendly
