You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

South AfricaThe room was a bit too basic. Bedside lamp(only one !) wasn’t plugged in. The cable was too short, and the extension cord wasn’t adequate. There were lights everywhere outside and the curtains didn’t quite cover the window so it was like trying to sleep in daylight!🥴
Very old, lots of atmosphere, charming. The food in the pub was delicious, and the staff were all really good. Great value for money.

My compliments in particular to the Chef food was always well cooked. The fire places all over are a real win.

South AfricaIt was extremely cold and there was no extra blankets in our room. It was was ice cold and the "electric blankets" are either old or useless. We were told the next morning there are extra blankets in a cupboard which had no knob to open it with. Our room had no hot water but we were told to just wait a long time for the water to heat up because it is a gas geyser. No curtain or blind in front of the bathroom window. The bed lights did not work. We were looking forward to our stop there and was determined to like it but the room was just disapointing.
We liked the look of the Inn. It fits in a small town vibe. We enjoyed the restaurant/pub. The waiters was friendly and the food was nice and well presented. The pub had a huge fire and it was warm and cozy. Breakfast the next morning was also ok. It was basic but nice. The waiter was friendly.

South AfricaThe room wasn't cleaned prior to my arrival, it was very dusty and the carpet not vaccuumed No hot water for bath. Brought it to management's attention Sat morning and it was looked into but Sunday morning again no hot water I stayed in number 9, outside the hotel and as a woman travelling alone I didn't feel safe in annoutside room. When a woman is travelling alone they should consider putting her in one of the rooms inside the hotel
The friendly staff. The electric blanket was a lifesaver in the sudden drop of temperature! Breakfast was so so nice
