Wooden floors, so people coming in at 1am and others leaving at 4am, we heard everything, only complaint

Loved the location, close to everything, lovely pub and food was great, clean linen, bathrooms clean as well as the rooms

    Everything was great!

We loved the historical hotel. It was really a complete surprise how lovely Bathhurst and the hotel were. A warm atmosphere with great food and company.

The tub in the bathroom was an old reading tub - beautiful - but the drain is noisy when the water is draining. I was worried about the noise for the people below us.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was good for both meals - not exceptional, but tasty and good portions. This is an historic building, and we stayed there because I am traveling with a descendant of one of the 1820 Settlers. The Inn has a lot of charm, but remember it is a ~200 year old building.

Did not experience anything I didn't like.

The quaint hotel with it's historic past and antique furniture was just up my alley. The friendliness of staff and patrons was wonderful. Really enjoyed our meals. The calamari was the best I've ever had. Sitting outside on the sidewalk, having a beer and listening to the live music (which was really great) was a real treat. Such a lovely, relaxed vibe. It was also lovely to walk and explore the art galleries and quaint little shops. Will definitely be back sometime in the near future.

Only critique is that the ceiling fan needs to be upgraded and possibly a light blocking shade for window facing the street. Overall we loved it.

The Inn is very special in its authenticity, we coincidentally were there for steak night, which I can highly recommend.

Nestled in the heart of a quaint village, the Historic Pig and Whistle charms visitors with its rich heritage and cozy ambiance. From its creaking floorboards to its crackling fireplace, every corner tells a story of a time gone bye. Our stay at this enchanting inn was a delightful journey back in time, where the warmth of hospitality and the allure of the past intertwined seamlessly. A truly unforgettable experience awaits those who seek refuge at the Historic Pig and Whistle. And Wednesdays are "Steak Nights", which were really good value.

Power points a little harder to reach in my room. Lots of noise from downstairs at times.

Helpful and caring staff & Hosts, walking distance to shops and other eateries, safety, excellent food. Beautiful decor and historic information available at every point.

Easily accessible smoking area after hours would have been useful. Bath water was a little under temperature, but the morning shower was hot.

Perfectly located in the middle of town, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Very friendly staff and a beautifully aged room which stayed with the theme of this historic hotel. Great value for money, even when taking the premium suite.

Love the history of the inn and the period features. Our room has large, comfortable and quiet. We had dinner in the pub next to the fire - it has a great atmosphere, one feels at home with friendly chit chat with staff and other patrons. The cuisine is delicious, homemade and fresh and caters for vegetarians - value for money.

WiFi was inconsistent, and they have different access point names throughout the establishment instead of repeating the same connection. The WiFi configuration requires multiple password and not all of them are know by the staff. The food was amazing except the spinach was gritty. Perhaps not washed thoroughly. Other than that I would recommend a stay at the historical pig and whistle to any traveller passing through Bathurst. There is a great coffee shop around the corner called that coffee place. Note the location of the inn is on the main road through Bathurst and there can be traffic passing through that may disturb the peace at times.

Staff were incredibly friendly. The inn has a unique culture of its own. The food was fantastic, the traditional pub grill style.
