Loved the concept. Actually pretty spacious than I anticipated. Very secure, very lovely. We came during winter, but the blanket was super warm and cozy, we wish we didn't have to leave. Breakfast was warm and filling. The staff? Very attentive and just a call away.

I was worried about the wind and if it’s going to be loud at night, but it stood up quite well. Beautiful starry nights can be seen from the window. Staff are super nice.

We cannot say enough about this magical place. Tucked away between rolling green meadows, majestic mountains, and dramatic ocean cliffs, this hotel is like something straight out of a dream. Every morning we were greeted by the most breathtaking view – the ocean stretching endlessly beneath us, kissed by golden sunlight. We stayed in the Storm Hive – a beautiful, pod-like residence perched between the trees, right at the edge of the cliff. It felt like our own private cocoon, surrounded by nature, with panoramic views and complete tranquility. The design was thoughtful and cozy, with both an indoor and outdoor shower, and a private hot tub nestled under the trees. Soaking in the warm water with the sound of the ocean below and the stars above was pure magic. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the warmth of the people. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever met – kind, welcoming, always ready to help, and clearly passionate about creating a special experience for their guests. From our first meal, we found the perfect table outside – and stuck with it, rain or shine – with an unobstructed view of the ocean and sky. We loved it so much that the staff always knew where to find us. We affectionately named it Tafel der Sterren / Stôl Hviezd – “Table of Stars” in our native Dutch and Slovak – a little symbol of where we’re from and the magic we shared under the night sky. It wasn’t just a table – it was ours, and it became the heart of our stay. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your soul, captures your heart, and leaves you with memories to treasure forever, this is it. We are already dreaming of the day we return.

Nothing - it was fantastic! Guests should note there is about 5km of dirt track driving to get to the property, but very doable in a normal car and absolutely worth it!

The Storm Hive is idyllic! Overlooking the Indian Ocean in complete privacy. It is clean, modern and well equipped with some nice homely touches like blankets for outside, ground coffee etc. Has good WiFi, TV with Netflix etc, hot water. The on site restaurant is fantastic - for both breakfast (included) and evening meal. The staff and general hospitality were also excellent

Loved the privacy of the hive. The little jacuzzi was great. Food options to either braai yourself or get at the amazing restaurant was a nice touch. We only stayed for one night but would of loved longer

One of the most beautiful places we ever been so far!! The view and the hive itself was stunning!! Its even better then on the pictures!! If you want a trip at the Garden Route you have to visit this place! But the most beautiful are the people there. They are so lovley and thankful, i appreciate it that the most! Because there were more than 20 guests present, the breakfast was served on a buffet, which was good but the food on the menue was much more delightful.

I didn’t like the water from the borehole being brown. Also, it was difficult getting our luggage to the room. We would have appreciated some assistance like transportation with a golf cart

I just wanted to express my gratitude to Thembeka and her team Mandy, Luxolo, Jacky, Sima and everyone who made my stay at your accommodation magical this past weekend. From the moment I walked in at reception, your staff was welcoming, well prepared and friendly. It was my birthday on the 4th of October and they made my day extra special, they prepared a beautiful table decor, had a small cake made out for us and even sang for me. The room was spectacular, great views and the service of the staff was above and beyond what I know. This was truly what dreams are made of. So, thank you and please thank your staff for me! I will definitely post on all my social media platforms and recommend to everyone I know about this place. Please see attached picture of the great time we had, see you again all soon!!
