Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThere is a restaurant located at the joining property, but we were denied access. There are no animals on the property, something one would expect in a property next to the National Park.
The property is well located with a variety of activities within a 20km radius. The view is obstructed by the trees, but that is compensated for by the sense of privacy when making use of the Hot Tab outdoors.

South AfricaI recently had the pleasure of staying at Tranquil Nest Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience! The glamping tent was the perfect blend of comfort and nature, clean, cozy, and beautifully set up. One of the highlights was definitely the private jacuzzi on the balcony, where we could unwind while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The entire lodge was well maintained, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay extra special. If you're looking for a relaxing and unique getaway in Mpumalanga, I highly recommend Tranquil Nest Lodge. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Netherlands-Traffic noise from the main road next to the lodge. -Didn’t like that the kitchen and 2nd bathroom were downstairs, accessible through an outdoor staircase.
We were given a very warm welcome by Leonard, who already prepared the jacuzzi for us for when we arrived. Rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable, good hot showers, airconditioning was used to warm up the rooms. We only had a short overnight stay but would have loved to use the bbq and outdoor seating area.

South AfricaI have stayed at Tranquil Nest a few times, last time being 11 years ago and it is incredible how this beautiful place has become so unloved and unkept. We used to get rusks and fire wood on welcome and the linen and towels were always clean and fresh. They have attempted to modernise it with cheap furniture not fit for any adult looking for luxury.
The highlights were the hot tub and the friendly manager Leonard who checked us in and welcomed us with our kids who were not on the booking despite booking.com knowing they were on our search.

South AfricaClose to busy highway, heard traffic noises the whole day and night Real close to neighbour tents and heard their "noises" I would also suggest upgrading or fixing the parking area for glamping units as it is very poor and uneven

South AfricaThere were too many ants roaming around, and even the Raid provided couldn’t get rid of them. The showers in the tents were a bit unstable and moved around while we were using them.
The place is great value for money. The interior is stunning far better than what the pictures on Booking.com show. The jacuzzi was clean, and everything about the place was perfect. I truly enjoyed myself.

South AfricaOur only complaint is how close the tents are to the road. Their are big, loud trucks traveling through the night so we found it difficult to sleep. If you are a light sleeper maybe opt for the chalet and not the tent 😊
We stayed in the tent and it was a great experience! The jacuuzi was clean and lovely and everything else was also very comfortable and clean! Leonard was amazing will helping us with anything and everything we needed!

South AfricaThe bed... And the couch is very uncomfortable. It was not as tranquil as I would have liked... Very noisy highway that can keep you up at night. Would have been ideal if the bed had a mosquito net... Thankful we had our peaceful sleep with me
The hot jacuzzi was the cherry on the top. The house keeping service daily was so so awesome. Ticked the leisure and relaxation part of my holiday off.
