We had a fabulous stay in the Maple Cabin at Treehaven Retreat. The Cabin was cozy and perfect for a romantic couples getaway! Even though it was freezing outside, we were warm and snug inside at night with the indoor fireplace going and comfy bed upstairs. Awesome fire-heated hot tub on the deck and situated in a beautiful place. Loved that there was no TV inside, and we got to enjoy each other's company. Great wifi signal at the cabin and all the basic amenities you need for a lovely stay, including a hot shower! Thank you for a wonderful stay. 🙏🏻

The parking at our accommodation was quite steep making it a bit of a mission when we have to go out, making turns and all. But we managed.

The accomodation is beautiful with great views. Clean and neat. Equipped with essentials suitable for a self-catering weekend stay. The facility manager RIchard was also amazing showed us all we needed to know on arrival and was helpful whenever we needed something.

If I had one caution, it would be the steep stairs to the loft bed—they were quite tricky to navigate, especially when tired. Something to be aware of, particularly for those with mobility concerns. Overall, I would definitely recommend Treehaven Retreat to nature lovers, solo travelers, and couples looking for a serene, off-the-grid experience. It’s a perfect spot to breathe deeply and slow down.

I stayed at Treehaven Retreat from in April 2025 and had a truly rejuvenating solo getaway. What stood out most was the abundance of firewood that kept the place warm and welcoming, adding to the already cozy charm of the space. The host, Richard, was incredibly hospitable and made the experience feel personal and cared for.

The wifi or network reception was a problem during our stay . The roads of Hogsback 🤐. If possible drive a bigger car, I struggled with my Polo Hatchback, mainly because I'm not used to driving on gravel road and because of the rain,it was very slippery.

Treehaven Retreat is clean and very comfortable. Their rainshower is refreshing after a long day at Hogsback long walking trails. The beds are comfortable ,we had peaceful sleep. The gas stove cooks very fast💯❤️.This is a place to reconnect with nature. The mountains and greenery are refreshing. One of the nights was cold so we used the fireplace, very warm and we enjoyed complimentary cookies by Treehaven Retreat. I booked January because I wanted to just rest and recover after the festive season. We were able to engage in different activities thanks to our host :Tim and Natalie,we appreciate you. We went to 39step waterfall (madonna and child falls) which is mentally and physically challenging . We enjoyed horseriding, archery and took long walks . The people were quite friendly.....

Beautiful, clean, fresh and perfect location. Waking up to the sound of birds calling every day, so tranquil and peaceful. Great quality bedding and towels......tastefully furnished. Well equipped with all you'll need during your stay. The hosts are amazing, always ready to assist and recommend things to do in the area. Will definitely be back again 5stars

The location is absolutely beautiful and the cabin had a very nice home feeling which is peaceful. We loved the wood fire hot tub and Sue was really great checking in often making sure our stay was good and she put flowers around the house to make it even more special and a bottle of champagne and some chocolates.
