The facilities seemed a bit "tired". Our tree cabin was lovely, really comfortable bed, but the shower (bathroom in general) could probably use an update.

Food in general was very generous - nothing fancy, but well executed. Staff were really friendly. We were able to walk around the reserve which was really lovely.

It’s obvious that they are still recovering after having been closed for a long time. There are some little things that would be nice to improve: - put some curtains/blinds in the room - make sure the bathroom/wc door can actually close - offer more game drive safari in Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park (and in my opinion at least 4h). Now only 3h sunrise game drive available. The entrance is about 15’ away, so just 2h30m for a game drive in such a big park is quite short. Having the option of an afternoon-evening game drive would also be nice.

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nature. Cute tree houses, spacious. The lounge and restaurant area was beautiful. Food was simple but good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is located in the safari lodge area (about 5’ drive from the tree lodge area).

Coffee, please get plunger coffee. Not only powder coffee. You are missing out on some income.

There are a few signs that the lodge was closed for a while but there is a lot of work and effort being put in to get things back to a good standard

The staff and management were excellent, nothing was a problem. From the time we arrived we were made very welcome and treated like royalty, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again soon.

I like everything on the property though some of the food was a little overpriced.

I really liked the forest view from the tree lodge. The entire venue had beautiful scenery with the crocodile pond further enhancing the beauty of the place.

The lodge has only recently re-opened after being closed during Covid. The new owner is trying very hard, and the impending liquor license approval and authority to drive guests into the park will be huge additions

The setting of the lodge and rooms in the fever tree forest is simply stunning. Its proximity to the Memorial Gate at Hluhluwe iMfolozi makes this the perfect base to explore the park

It is really so nice and for us the cabin in the fever trees was perfect - nothing here to complain about.

What a superb experience, this place is well maintained, beautiful and perfect location just outside the Hluhluwe Reserve. They have game on the property so during the drive from the gate to reception you might encounter a few giraffes, impala, kudu, wildebeest and zebra.

Loved the remoteness and the absolutely wonderful staff. The pre-ordered dinner was also great. Keep up the good work and I really don’t understand previous criticism. You come for the secluded bush and that is what you get.
