Absolutely nothing :)

A beautiful working farm, tucked behind a mountain vista with really modern and comfortable lodgings. We received the warmest welcome from Debbie, who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The farm is pet friendly, so my two travelling kitties had the best time watching the birds and taking little walks to the dam. Absolutely will be back.

Everything advertised is there. The accommodation was exactly what we needed. Cozy and beautifully furnished. Debbie was extremely helpful and friendly.

We paid for 3 people, 2 rooms, but my daughter missed a flight and had to stay with us longer, so we were 4 people - we were charged R650 for her to stay the 1 night in the room my other daughter was already staying in. Thought it was a bit steep. The braai wood was R35 per bag, but could have just been thrown in for the price you pay. No electric blankets on 2 beds.

Oh Wow. Right at the bottom of one of the most Beautiful Passes in South Africa. Stunning setting. Most welcoming hostess Debbie. Would definitely take my wife there and force the detour just for the stay.

Cottage was cold and the aircon unit didn’t seam to heat the room but nothing warm clothes couldn’t solve. Plus electric blankets were provided so it was cosy and warm in bed.

Lovely quiet, peaceful farm stay, great spacious cottage, cosy once in bed! Friendly host and the Bonus bottle of complimentary wine from the farm was a lovely unexpected touch!

Nothing it was lovely

The venue is stunning and the host Debbie went the extra mile to make is feel welcome, even delivering firewood and firelighters to us. The complimentary bottle of their home grown wine was a nice touch. The accommodation is generous and well equipped. There is a lovely covered from porch and covered braai area at the back and plenty of hot water in the showers. The area is beautiful and peaceful I highly recommend this venue

Regtig iets besonders. Debbie het uit haar pad gegaan om ons alles te gee wat ons nodig het. Selfs n gratis bottel yskoue Varkenskraal Chenin blanc. Plaasbestuurder het seker gemaak dat ons veilig oor die laagwaterbrug kom toe n storm losbars.

Couldn't find a fault

We will definitely be back, and for at least 3 nights! We couldn't fault Varkenskraal, the setting is magnificent and every thing about our cottage was perfect. It's spotless, well set up from a utensil and furnishing point of view. The beds were comfortable too. Debbie is a wonderful host!
