Waterhouse Guest Lodge has a beautiful old-world charm with an authentic, homely feel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the simple luxury of an electric blanket made my stay extra cozy. A peaceful and welcoming place I’d happily return to!

If we had to mention one small thing, it’s that the bathroom had a bath but no shower — we prefer showers, which might just be a European thing

This guesthouse offers excellent value for money. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was also ideal — just a short drive from all the places we wanted to visit, including the Voortrekker Monument, Freedom Park, and the Kruger House. What truly stood out was the staff. Chantelle, Tabbie, Gladys, Linna, Judith, and Mr. KB were all exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help — which we especially appreciated, as we were travelling with our two-year-old. A truly enjoyable and memorable stay!

Everything was great, the only small thing was the dustbin in the bathroom had not been cleared so the previous guests trash was in there. But wasnt a train smash we just used the bin in the bedroom.

I was welcomed by the gate by a staff member (I think her name was Linah). She took me to the room and showed me everything I needed to know. The room was spacious with plenty of clean towels. The property is situated near to Zuid Afrikaans Hospital that makes it ideal when a family member has to stay over in hospital.

Everything was lovely and the room had all the facilities. I'm putting this here and not in the "what I didn't like" because it's a recommendation. It would be nice to have a head to toe or dress mirror in the room for outfit checks. You can even affix a light, long mirror inside the wardrobe door.

There wasn't a shower in our bathroom - only a bathtub. BUT the staff member who helped us (I can't remember her name) gave us the key of the room next door so that we could use that shower.

Beautiful rooms. Aircon was fantastic - especially in a 38°C Pretoria. The staff member who booked us in was very helpful and kind. White linen, white towels, AND: plunger-coffee!!! We really did enjoy our stay!
