I had an incredible stay for one night. Kelly, her partner and staff are exceptionally accommodating, very polite and easy to get along with. Kelly arranged transportation to the airport. When transport canceled last minute, she had already arranged another safe means of transportation to the airport. They went above and beyond for something they had no control over. The lodge is walking distance to a bird sanctuary. Also a shopping center that has delicious food options. The lodge has beautiful gardens all around. I enjoyed taking in sunlight throughout the day from their many garden areas. The area is very safe. I felt comfortable walking around during the day and night. The meals at the lodge are delicious home cooked recipes. The option to use Uber eats is also available. When the kitchen is not open for meals, the invitation to use the kitchen to cook yourself food is available. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay again! One of the most beautiful guesthouses we’ve ever stayed in – it truly felt like something out of a fairytale. Wild Tree Lodge in Johannesburg is absolutely magical. The entire place is incredibly charming, spotless, and perfectly maintained. The staff were absolutely wonderful – warm, welcoming, and attentive. The owner is fantastic, and you can feel the love and care put into every detail of the house. Breakfast was a highlight: the toast with eggs and bacon was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Everything about our stay was perfect – 5 stars without a doubt. Just a 5-minute walk away is the Korsman Bird Sanctuary – a peaceful, breathtaking lake surrounded by incredible nature. You’ll see some of the most beautiful birds and wildlife – it’s truly a hidden gem. The whole area is quiet, relaxing, and full of stunning homes and scenery. Highly recommended – we can’t wait to come back!

Owner/Manager was helpful and warm. Although We spent very little time to actually enjoy the facilities, it was very peaceful, and well maintained. She went extra mile by packing us some food for our flight at 6 in the morning.

Only minor gripe was the shower which was quite small and didn't have a door meaning we were left with a soaking bathroom floor and toilet every time we used it.

Stayed at Wild Tree Lodge for 4 nights during a family visit. It was an ideal location for us to be near family, but is also well located for the airport and getting to other areas. I enjoyed the nearby Kosman Bird Sanctuary for morning runs. Security was good and the room and grounds were large and well appointed. We didn't get to use the pool as the weather wasn't great, but it was sparkling clean and had a nice area for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The staff were amazing, as were the breakfasts, with great choice and service. The area where meals were served next to the pool was lovely. We didn't have any evening meals there, but based on the breakfast, I'm sure these would have been great. Rooms had a small fridge and there is a kitchen area with a microwave and crockery and cutlery, so great if you just wanted to grab a ready meal, take away and self cater. It was also great value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Very accommodating host! Our flight was massively delayed and they still facilitated a midnight check in. Really comfortable bed. Beautiful property. We had a lovely view from our balcony. Breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding.

Wild Tree Lodge is a gem. As a first-time visitor to Johannesburg, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Kelly, the host, was incredibly helpful and made everything easy from the moment I arrived – the service level is truly top-notch. The lodge itself is a large house on an estate, divided into beautifully appointed boutique-style rooms. The attention to detail is flawless, and everything is thoughtfully set up for both business and leisure travellers. I was there for work, and the space was perfectly suited – practical yet relaxing. The first thing I noticed when I entered my room was the sense of calm, and the sound of birds calling – some I’d never heard before. It genuinely made me smile. The cook prepared excellent hot meals that were the perfect comfort food after long days, and on weekends when the kitchen was closed, Kelly made sure food delivery was sorted without any fuss. It’s a short drive from the airport, and absolutely worth it. I can’t fault Wild Tree Lodge, and I’ll definitely be back on my next business trip from Brisbane.

Wild Tree Lodge is 15min away from the airport, in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. Kelly and her staff have been the utmost kind to us; we had a very warm welcome and goodbye. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner here and I can only say that it was delicious!
