This time, restaurant staff were not so attentive, wrong wine, red not white. Coffees for breakfast had to be reordered.

Could have more lingers or pause areas , especially with views of city. It feels a little cramped and staying for three days it gets a bit boring in the limited spaces . There is for example a rooftop area on the first floor that could be converted into a very nice lounge area with open air views

Rooms are a bit small

I’d like to specially commend Chef Mosses for his outstanding service during our stay. He was incredibly perceptive, warm, and friendly, always going out of his way to make guests feel welcome. His food preparation was exceptional—beautifully presented, delicious, and clearly made with great care and skill. Chef Mosses truly elevated our experience, and he is a credit to the property. There's a lovely pond in the courtyard, though the birds nesting there are very loud in the morning. It was a bit of a surprise as I had arrived at night and hadn't seen the nests. The airport shuttle service is also very pricey.

The rooms are comfortable, though a bit more dated than the pictures, and the restaurant is pretty good. The location is near the national museum and easy to get around.

There was a drain smell in the bathroom (room 216). With the door closed it didn’t come into the room and the extractor fan generally got rid of it.

Location. Pool area. Dining / bar area in centre of the hotel around the pond - with small crocodiles! Staff. Comfy bed. There were a lot of business people (we were on holiday from UK) and we consider this a good sign.

We enjoyed our stay at the Southern Sun. The breakfast is perhaps the best in Lusaka, and the accommodation is excellent for both business travelers and those seeking a relaxing getaway.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and served with a smile. The place was clean and our room was exactly 💯 what we saw on booking.com. The food was yummy and chef 👩‍🍳 Brian made food for me and took my allergies into consideration. We enjoyed our stay and next time we are in Zambia, we are most definitely staying at Southern Sun Ridgeway 😉 😀 Chefs Brian, Andrew and Nevin were amazing and considered my allergies in meals they prepared for me. Musa (my namesake!!!!) was super helpful with our luggage and all our shopping. Best porter!!!!! Sheeba ensured our room was clean all the time!!!

Centrally located, warm hospitable ever smiling and friendly staff who go beyond to make one comfortable. Even the chefs look after so well. Baby crocodiles, fishes in the pond like area surroundinf the reataurant, amazing vibes, lovely music, Well done.

Silly thing, but the lifts smelled strongly of disinfectant

Best WiFi I've had at a hotel in a long time, but more importantly the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was good (not exceptional), restaurant was also worthwhile and the atmosphere around the crocodile pond is really great. I'll be back next time I am in Lusaka

In my room I could hear the slamming of doors from other rooms. And I also found the exhaust in the bathroom too loud.

The ambience of the hotel and the rooms were really nice. I really appreciated the big refrigerator in the room.

A real coffee machine would be a great addition.

Excellent front desk staff, in particular Wana. She really made us feel welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. She’s a real asset to the hotel. Give the lady a bonus!
