We stayed for a night at Batonka and had a lovely time. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The rooms were spotless! Bed so comfortable and one of the best showers we’ve ever had! We only had lunch at the lodge but it was delicious. Would highly recommend for anybody wanting to have a more intimate stay close to all the amenities of Victoria Falls.

The property was secure and had 2 pools set in lovely gardens. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was nice.

Victoria Falls Airport. When you arrive an official will be holding everyone up inspecting COVID vaccine cards, but there is no sign indicating that, so everyone has to walk up to the official separately to find out they need to get their vaccination record out. To obtain the required Visa is $30/person cash, no credit card accepted. If you don't have the cash, the ATM is at the exit to the airport some distance away. Everyone waits while you go get cash, very embarrassing. You are required to fill out an entry form when you arrive, in a dark stairway, no pens provided, no forms provided until you are in the stairway. Upon leaving, no cameras, money, or any valuables allowed in checked bags. No warning before you get to the check in desk. We had to pull to the side and open all our luggage to remove camera equipment. A fellow passenger who resides in Livingstone told us that any valuables in your checked bags will be stolen by the baggage handlers. Helicopter ride was very expensive and not worth it.

The resort was less than two miles from Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is the primary attraction of the area and worth the visit to the area. All the people we met were very nice, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking the path along the falls through the national park much more than the helicopter ride. We walked the falls twice on two different days. We recommend Wild Horizons Lookout Cafe for lunch or dinner. Taxi transportation back to Batonka is included. The Pic n Pay is handy for incidentals and not far from the resort, safe ATM in the same shopping center. Chicken Hut was spicy and good.

Batonka is a beautiful, tranquil guest house located just outside the centre of Victoria Falls with easy access to the Falls and airport. The staff are very welcoming, happy and informative, rooms are fantastic, spacious, clean and very comfortable, pool is lovely and grounds beautiful. I would happily recommend Batonka as a 1st class place to stay.

The rooms could have been cleaner. While the outsides are well maintained the room feels very run down & old. For the price charged, much better rooms can be provided for sure. It’s the only accommodation during this holiday in SA n Zim was I asked to pay for extra drinking water!!!!

The property is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained. Breakfast was good too!
