- The receptionist upon arrival was great. - They have some of the best waiters (Marc was amazing - kind and very attentive person)

- Co-ordination of breakfast can improve. On two of the days we needed to ask someone to take our order. - The one night we had dinner at the hotel, we were ushered to a table in a poor position, yet there were plenty tables open (even though we had mentioned we were going to have dinner there).. Only once Marc came to serve us was our evening saved.

We choose this hotel because of its setting within a beautiful park-like garden. It is very tastefully decorated and lies in a quiet neighbourhood. The property seems very well managed and maintained; the staff are certainly a big plus of this hotel - they are extremely professional, friendly and efficient. The room was fine as was the food. Pioneers is certainly a good choice when visiting Vic Falls.

The only thing we did not like was that 2 ducks spent most of their time in the pool, which we did not find very inviting.

Everything was perfect. Amenities, decor, rooms and all tasty meals served on patios with views on the luscious garden that stole my heart! How ever, the trump card of Pioneers is the well trained, efficient staff who carry you on their hands from the moment you arrive. They make feel special and will attend to you with their friendly smiles at all times. Thank you all for making our stay special. We will definately make Pioneers our first choice when ever we vist the majestic waterfall and the mighty Zambezi river again. Marlene from NAMIBIA

The staff are amazing. They can organize activities, taxis and even a soapdish you forgot to buy at the markets!

The staff was welcoming, helpful, and mostly knowledgeable. The restaurant was great. The bartender was terrific and servers were generally good. Food was delicious

I felt the pools were a little dirty but it could have been just the cloudy appearance. Otherwise all was great

Very nice aerial with big garden, two pools, bar/restaurant, spa (expensive). It's possible to book tours directly from the hotel.

There is no minibar in the rooms to cool your drinks.

Fabulous place, beautiful rooms and grounds, fantastic friendly helpful staff, amazing breakfast. They also have a great taxi company they use which makes getting around very easy.

Nothing, it was all perfect

The complimentary breakfast was fine for us and Staff brought us soy and almond milk.

The AC in the room did not work properly. We were very warm on our final night

I liked the facilities, food was good and the staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The breakfast was very hearty and served in a clean child friendly environment. My husband and i enjoyed the "home made chilli" and would have loved to buy it in bulk :-) The linen was fresh & clean. Location perfect and secure, and since we were travelling with our 2 "energetic kids" it allowed us to relax.

Truthfully i have absolutely no complaints

Breakfast is good, coffee could be better. Was nice to also have a choice off the menu. The waiters/waitresses could be a bit more attentive. The restaurant was very good, also dinner. However, I found it weird that I was told by the waiter one starter on the menu was not available while a few minutes later, other clients ordered the same and were served. Confronting the waiter, I got a lame excuse „they had ordered it a day before…..”. Why would one order a starter a day earlier ……while in the morning I always had to ask for more coffee, in the evening every two minutes the waiter asked me how the food was, I hardly could eat! It was nice to have a Apéro on the terrace, however, would be great to get at least two olives or nuts with it….

I find it very discriminating that as a single traveler I’m charged for two persons for transport airport-lodge-airport. From the lodge to the airport I inquired first if there were any other tourists going to the airport since I was not willing to pay again USD 34 instead of USD 17. I did not get the feeling that the employees tried very hard to find out. I realized the USD 34 were already charged to my account while checking out. I refused to pay since I was organizing my own transport for less. Shortly before leaving, I was told other people were also going… only to tell me again a few minutes later that they would leave later. I also would like to mention that on arrival the driver was not there expecting me and I had to go to information and ask them to call Pioneers and check. And for that service I was charged USD 34.

Food was very good. Staff service and friendliness was amazing. A really nice enjoyable stay.

Small thing but guests were not always mindful of closeness of rooms to each other. They could be reminded it’s a quiet peaceful lodge.

Beautiful property and wonderful facilities. Staff was excellent.

The ostrich carpaccio, the warthog sausage and kudu. All the meals were lovely and beuatifully presented. The (South African) beer on draught was excellent too.

I did have an issue with noisy AC that was remained unresolved. In the end, I had to live with just the fan.
