A beautiful property, the most delicious food and wonderfully warm and friendly staff! I genuinely loved my stay - the room was gorgeous, the lookout tower is such a lovely feature (as were the happy hour cocktails) and I honestly think the evening meal I had is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!

Comfortable setting, beautiful layout with very kind, friendly and service minded staff. The outlook tower is a very special and attractive feature. Despite fully booked, it never felt crowded. We also like the name: Shongwe. Time has come to rename Victoria Falls to the more original and culturally more appropriate name ´Shongwe Falls’!

The soundproofing between the rooms was a little poor.

The lodge was beautifully designed and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. The staff were extremely friendly

Very large and comfortable room. Nice to have a good restaurant and a bar on the premises. The staff was exceptionally diligent, efficient, and most friendly. The reception desk was also very helpful in providing information about tours and booking them for me. Thank you all!

The lodge is in a nice location but it is about a 25/30 min walk from town which is probably a bit too far to walk in the heat in summer, but taxis are easily available.

We had a wonderful stay at Shongwe Lookout. All of the staff were so helpful and looked after us throughout our visit. Our room was lovely and the food was great. Thanks so much!

Everything was just great.

Very clean, well maintained, well furnished rooms. Friendly staff. Tah at reception was very helpful. All bookings done for us. George very willing to help. Taxi service connected to the resort, easily available. $6 to the Falls. Excellent breakfast and meals were good and reasonable. The lookout was a nice place to relax, to see the spray from the Falls, sunrise and sunset. We had a wonderful stay. Exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

I didn’t enjoy watching the 2 barmen double up as waitresses and run around like headless chicken trying to serve all of the guests and they just didn’t seem happy which made me uncomfortable.

The property is conveniently located . It has a charm about it with the art and African prints incorporated in the decor . There is also a lookout area where you can enjoy the African sunset and sight the thundering smoke from the falls . The food was delicious .

Some of the rooms don't receive much day light and the rooms opposite the pool don't give you much privacy except if you close the curtains.

Excellent location and very safe to walk around the neighborhood and even downtown, which takes you about 30 min.. The lookout is a real asset, not only for a sundowner, but even during the day to enjoy the breeze and the view on the cozy second floor. Breakfast is excellent and additional meals are tasty and in the average prize range of VIC Falls.

It was a really great stay and I was sad I had only one night. The hotel has a great vibe and facilities are so lovely. Great pool area and the bar with the view of Vic Falls mist was absolutely lovely

The staff were excellent: reception, bar, waitress - all very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the “ Happy hour” at the top of the lookout with the view across to the Zambezi.

Great lodge and food. Loved the sun downers in the lookout tower and comingling with fellow travellers. Room is very nice.

Loved the lookout tower for happy hour. you can see the mist from the falls and for miles around. Restaurant was great and we enjoyed the pool. The staff was helpful in making reservations for activities (rental bikes and an evening river cruise in our case) and for calling taxis for us

Only thing missing were a hairdryer and iron in the room

All staff are incredibly friendly. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is lovely and the food is very good too. I would definitely recommend staying here
