Původně jsme měli zarezervované ubytování přímo ve městě Stykkishólmur, ale jakmile se uvolnilo ubytování zde, změnili jsme to a udělali jsme dobře. Poloha u jezera je úžasná, je zde spousta zajímavého ptactva, z nedalekého kultovního kopce Helgafell je nádherný výhled na všechny strany. Kostelík pod kopcem atmosféru místa jen umocňuje. Velice přátelský vítací pejsek (Molly?) se dostavil ihned po našem příjezdu a před odjezdem se s námi přišel rozloučit. Místo bychom doporučili fotografům a všem kteří se chtějí vyhnout mainstreamu.

Dalahyttur se nachází v destinaci Hlíð í Hörðudal a má restauraci, bar a výhled na hory. Na místě je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi. What an absolute hidden gem of a place. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel right at home. Guðrún Björg is the sort of host that others simply dream of being. Every single detail has been thought out, she is a warm wealth of information about the area, and someone who truly cares about making your stay and experience as magical as it could be. The meals we enjoyed were also exceptional - lamb sourced from the property, and cod caught by her sons and husband, and freshly made waffles in the morning - what more could you ask for? This place is worth every penny and the view from our cottage was just tops. Go - stay here - relax - enjoy!

The place is in a great location, just up from the harbour in a lovely spot . The rooms are cosy, a little tight on room, but very comfortable and modern. The staf are great, check-in a breeze and ready to help with dinner reservations or on what to see in the area. Lovely area by reception to have a hot drink, read or spend a few minutes. Breakfast was offered and was well worth it. Would stay again
