Wish we could stay one more day. Its a great place and value for money. U get the free public bath during your stay and its not a crowded place. Could tell that theres some history in this place. Looks very old but its well maintance.

Beautiful location , Saw snow monkeys munching on chestnuts on the street just around the corner from the hotel so cool, if you have time check out the Wasabi farm down the valley it is very interesting, l loved our time in this part of our Japan tour

Both dinner and breakfast offered at the Honbako restaurant were delicious and showcased local ingredients. Room and outdoor bath were well-appointed, and 24-hour access to the bookstore is a treat and even includes a selection of art/English books for foreign guests.

A 5-minute drive from National Treasure Matsumoto Castle, Ryokan Seifuso is next to Shinshu University and boasts a view of the Northern Alps and the freshness of the Metoba River.

The personal was beyond amazing. They were extremely friendly and helpful since we arrived and cattered to all our needs. They were true professionals and showed that they care for their ryokan and its guests. Moreover, the ryokan was in perfect condition with a lovely vintage atmosphere to it. The room was finely decorated with genuine Japanese style. Truly a gem.

We really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. It was so nice to have someone help us with parking our car. The service during our meals was excellent!
