Private roten buro-bath was exceptional. The room was huge. Self-service coffee bar was nice and food was more than we could eat.

+ Super helpful and accommodating hosts who go above and beyond for their guests. To give a few examples, they had granted my request of a 3-hrs earlier check-in time on the day I arrived in Ise, which there was a heavy downpour at the time, so being able to rest and relax in my room was a great comfort. Additionally, they had called in and helped me recover the souvenirs which I had carelessly left on the train, and even the manager himself had personally gone to the station on that same night in order to pick them up for me. + The location is just outside the Iseshi station for easy train & bus transit, as well as there are many restaurants which are all within walking distance from the Ryokan. + A simple, yet wonderful homemade breakfast that you'd expect to eat at a traditional Japanese household. + And lastly, they have a laundry room which is completely free to use as well as free bicycle rentals for even more additional savings.

Beautiful old house, located just a few minutes' walk from the Meoto Iwa rocks in a small village, easily accessible by train from Ise. It was a great place to visit Meoto Iwa and Ise. The room was big, with seaview, and the dinner courses were fantastic. Very good breakfast as well.

The location is ok. This place is run by very sweet and old ladies who do not speak English. Things van be chaotic. There is a communal (hinoki) hot tub but very small. What made the stay memorable was meeting people there and a very late night talk. And the breakfast was nice too and I will cherish the small goodbye gifts

We booked this hotel for three nights at the end of a very busy fortnight touring. It provided the rest and relaxation we hoped for. The hotel had a lounge area with plenty of seats and sofas, something lacking in all hotels we stayed in previously. The onsen experience was unique and traditional. The traditional Japanese breakfast was a great experience, although we used the sister hotel (a five minute walk away) for the buffet style breakfast and French dinner restaurant for the other days. The spa room in the sister hotel had a beautiful view and the treatments were excellent. The staff were polite and helpful.

Hinode Ryokan is an old-fashioned family-run inn just a short walk away from Iseshi train station and Ise Jingu Outer Sanctuary. The staff is kind and helpful, the facilities are clean, and the traditional Japanese breakfast is very filling. I’ve used this accommodation as a base for visiting the Ise Jingu, Meoto Iwa, and Matsusaka by public transport, and found it very convenient.

If you are up for a classic ryokan-type stay that doesn't bust your budget, this is the place. Innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. Our room was large enough and the bath was a communal bath was a great Japan-only experience. Breakfast is very Japanese so might not be for everyone but it's the experience that counts.

Staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. They were available to answer our questions and provided a wonderful breakfast for us. We had our luggage shipped from Tokyo with Yamato transport and the staff gladly accepted this and had it waiting in our room when we arrived. The onsen was an absolute delight. The ryokan was quiet and the room was very comfortable
