SingaporeIt’s beautifully decorated and we love both the outdoor and indoor onsens!! The food is fantastic as well!! Service staff spoke some English and all very professional and helpful. I love the location as well. Very central and so close to everything!

Such a beautiful, remote, relaxing accommodation option at the foot of Mount Aso in a very quiet area and away from tourists. The hosts were also so amazing, in displaying the ultimate in Japanese hospitality. The stroll to Takezaki Spring was the most zen thing I have done on this trip (9th visit). You can have a choice of a bed or futon.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

Ryokan Shinsen was definitely more on the pricer side, however having stayed the 2 nights, I would be more than keen to stay here again. The facilities and rooms were immaculate. The service was excellent, very attentive. Breakfast and dinner were included in the stay and it's definitely an experience.
